Thanks for the info. on the other phone #'s, I'll be watching for them. I have gotton 2 calls on 6/21 and 6/22 from the 844 number.

I called them back and using an Indian accent I said that I was from the windows operating system technical service and I was calling to help them to get the viruses off of their windows computer. Turned the tables on these scam artists. LOL.

Getting the same type calls from different numbers - 5 over the last 3 days
First was 6/2 @ 1:00PM from 214-347-8148 (Dallas) - sounds like Lauries 5/30/14 report
Second was 6/2 @ 4:00PM from 713-512-5575 (Houston) - sounds like Brad's second call in 5/23/14 report
Third was 6/3 @ 7:45AM from 832-703-5493 (Houston) - silence with muffled call center noise in background
Fourth was 6/3 @ 5:50PM again from 713-512-5575 - sounds like Brad's second call in 5/23/14 report but hung up quickly
Fifth was today 6/4 @ 4:50PM from 817-330-8784 (Kennedale, TX) - hung up and returned call and got same automated response for job and educational opportunities - if only I would log on to my computer.

I answered the phone and the lady said that she was with a job placement website. (As far as I could tell. Sounded like she said "Visa". She repeated it three more times and even spelled it out and I still couldn't understand! Sounded like she was driving with the windows open!) She then wanted to know if I was in front of my computer...I told her I could not understand her and to have a good day and hung up. Very unprofessional and beware of this person / company.

I just received a call from this number - the female had an accent, she asked if I was recently looking for a good job.  I said no and she hung up.

BTW - the KC # they used was 816-287-4753.  If they call, don't answer.

It's getting worse - first, this company called me and a man in a thick accent said he was working with a job company called "Visit Apply" and was going to help me find a job.  He then asked for permission to take control  of my computer to get me to their website.  When I told him I could get there myself, he told me to type visitapply.com (no www).  I Googled the name and got no real results.  He then gave me a 2nd website to visit, but I couldn't understand him.  

THEN, after he gave up, I got a second call with a Kansas City area code, and a woman with a definitely-American voice said she was a customer care rep from visit apply and she was trying to get me to go to the website as well.  I realized it was an automated response server because when I asked specific questions about the services they offered, she replied with the exact same answers - tone, cadence, EVERYTHING.  And as soon as I said, "Okayyy" in an uncertain voice because I was confused, she said "Great, now to get started..."

At that point, I hung up.  If you get these calls, ignore them.  I'm not even sure they weren't trying to hack into my smart phone while I was on the call with them - don't give them the chance or the time.

I got a call from this # and couldnt understand the broken english. In the background i could hear a call center. I asked "what are you selling". She responded "about a job site i visited". BOGUS- recruiters in america speak the language. Sounded like an India or Pakistan call center. BEWARE!!!!!

Just received a call from this number confirming if i was interested in looking for a job.  Then he asked if he could get access to my computer. For what? makes no sense BEWARE of this number!

Keeps calling nonstop.

I got a call from this number and called them back as I just missed them due to picking up my kid from school.  I called them back and the first thing they said was that they were a career / job placement site and  asked was if I had my computer nearby so they could access it.  Why would they need to access it?  I was in the car getting ready to pull out so, no can do.  I'm debating whether to call back to get more info and ask to why they need access to my computer.

I just received a call from the folowing phone #844-248-9065  this has to have been the 5th -10th time this # has shown up on either my cell or landline, when answered, I cannot hear anything  other than faint paper russling and/or typing on a  keyboard.  I have returned the call as a vaguely blank voice mail has been left (most likely as they didn't hang up soon enough) only to get NOTHING BUT VIRTUAL SILENCE on the other end.  Something is not right with this phone # I will block it if I can figure out how, but wanted to put it out on line that this is some scam or whatever.....do not deal with this phone number - 844-248-9065 as I don't know what they are doing but something is not right!!!

Called at 1pm. No message. I'm not calling back.

this number called my phone and left no message. When I called it back, 1 I could hardly understand the lady and 2 she said it was about a job site.

This number call my house today and all they said was "Goodbye".  There was no message or anything.  Who is this?
