Called and asked for my father who has been deceased for 10 years! He has never lived at the number they called. Just hung up and did not identify themselves. Spoofed caller ID.

Called at 8:48 p.m.!! I didn't answer...caller ID is"Name not found"...Why would I pick up on an ID like that?!

I found that you can post a complaint at http://www.fcc.gov/complaints. If more people complain, the FCC may take action against the caller.

We received a call from this number at approximately 3pm mountain time. When we said hello 2-3 times, the caller hung up. We get a similar 844 number calling all hours of the evening and even in the middle of the night. So much for the Do Not Disturb list.

This number just called me... and it's 9:20 PM!!! WTF???
| Paul C. 2014-06-16 23:26:39 Unknown |
I have received several calls as well. Like other posters, no message is left on my voice mail or answering machine. If I don't recognize the number on the Caller ID display, I simply ignore the call.

The way toll free numbers work is...actually...the reverse of that.
If you were to call a toll free number, the owner of that number pays for your call. Conversely, unlike a regular telephone number where you can place or receive calls, calls are not originated from a toll free number. TFNs are an inbound service (from the outside world to the owner of the TFN).
Telemarketers use specialized equipment that allows them to change the telephone number that appears on Caller ID displays... so long as a special type of telephone service is being provided by a telephone company. So if a telemarketer is doing a mass calling for company "A" they will program a TFN that belongs to company "A" into their system. That TFN then shows up on your phone. When the time comes to do mass callings for company "B" the telemarketer simply changes the TFN in their system and the process repeats itself.

same experiences as the others. They try to keep talking even when I say I don not want to participate. I even told them I was on the do not call list. tried to tell me that did not apply to surveys

I answered the call from 844-744-5349 yesterday afternoon and agreed to respond to a "Short Survey". Ten minutes into the survey, I politely reminded the caller that I needed to wrap it up. He began a lengthy script about the qualifications for one of two candidates running for the Tennessee legislature...no longer asking "survey" questions and I tried to interrupt to say that I was done with the survey...he kept on reading. I finally got his attention and asked to speak to his supervisor... and clearly let him know that "short surveys" do NOT include lengthy political ads...and hung up. Over a period of five minutes, these people called me back 6 times, basically saying that I needed to finish the survey. They would simply talk over my objections. They refused to identify the name of the survey company. They would not tell me who was paying for the survey. What they did may be legal, but I have serious questions concerning their ethics. I advise anyone who sees 844-744-5349 on their caller id to simply ignjore them. Supposedly, you can call 844-744-5349 and at the end of the recording "press 1" to avoid future calls...we shall see.

I keep getting calls from area code 844 and finally decided to answer the phone to see what they wanted. The man on the phone was very obscene and what he said was disturbing, and I just hung up. Idiot!

Every evenin, seems like, just about supper time, we are getting a call from this number. Sometimes later at night. We never answer. Very irritating, we did the do not call thing.

I am getting calls from this company. If they are a survey company it is still illegal to call a household every hour and very late at night. I block telemarketing calls and found in my research the recipient of the call pays any long distance charges. Since I have to pay a high price for my long distance service I question whether this is legal. My caller ID says it is a toll free number, but a Goggle search states I am expected to pay for the call!!!

The caller stated he was with EMC Research, a survey company. The survey was a series of questions about my opinion of PG&E utilities. It took exactly 10 minutes

844-744-5349 claim they want to ask questions. Redial gets a recording stating they are following legal calling laws. Multiple calls from this group in one hour. Tried to block, but must be using an analog or digital rolling system as their reps got through after the block.
Is it legal to request some one incinerate this organization?
