I first received a call from an unknown number. The lady left a voice mail saying she's trying to serve me papers for a lawsuit. She left me a number to call this Pyramid Law company (844-811-1142). I called them and the lady was professional at first but very unorganized. She knew very little about this payday loan I owed but was threatening to send a process server and sheriff out to my house today. She claimed I owed $1600 immediately or I'd have criminal charges against me for a bad check. The loan was only for $300 so I can't imagine why I'd owe $1600. When I asked further information she became hostile and told me to "stop running my mouth and shut up". I disconnected the call. I'm hoping this is a scam and they're just using scare tactics?

Well, you have admitted that to being a deadbeat who forgot about a whole bunch of bills.  Why on earth would you expect anyone to take any type of advice from you?

Total scam.   Demand a debt validation letter by US mail. E-mail no good.  Just trying to scare you into giving them money.

Received a call at my office from 844-811-1142.  The person did not leave a name but advised that he was calling from Pyramid Resolution Services regarding a pending claim tied to my SSN.  Not going to bother calling back on this one!

I have dealt with David Belford who said he was with Vanguard Processing out of Florida.(company is listed as inactive since 2007)I made a credit card payment for a friend they contacted(tried to scam).I received an email receipt for my payment with the address of a vacant lot in Florida.I immediately cancelled the payment and closed my account.They called the following day threatening to arrest me, theyre coming with the handcuffs, Im a scumbag etc.I said you have my address come and get me.Its been a month and nothing.Filed a complaint with the NYS AG. Nobody calls you to tell you they are going to serve you papers.If they call tell them you want to speak to their attorney.Then ask his name and state bar license #.That's probably when they will hang up on you.

I learned today through my attorney that when you are being served an actual subpoena they do not call to inform you of this first of all, they just show up to serve you until they do actually serve you. So anyone who calls to threaten you about being served that is the first sign of a scam (scare tactic). secondly anything over 7 years involving credit, it is a dismissal. These people are horrid and should be arrested themselves for scamming .

And they get their information from what I have learned is the more social media you have for fun or work your information gets higher on the poll. So if you have linked IN, FB, Pinterest, etc and a job that has you on a website your information gets published from name to address to phone number including all family members etc.

THIS IS A TOTAL SCAM (DAVID BELFORD) the supposed OM is a real joke. They called me twice threatening to have me served and possibly arrested (for supposed bad checks from nearly a decade ago) if I did not pay them $1000.00 plus before 4:00 pm today. They sound convincing at first but then if you ask enough questions you realize they don't have their facts straight and quotes different dates etc.
After contacting my attorney to inquire; I have now reported them in hopes that eventually this will shut them down eventually. Get a real job! ! These are 2 of the numbers they use: 844-811-11420 OR 844-811-1139

They are keep calling and leaving voice mail messages that they will send the sheriff with an arrest warrant. Also that they will have a process server come out with subpoena if I don't give them a payment. I don't owe any money to anyone. I told them they have the wrong person but they are keep harassing me. I don't understand where they get people's information.

Yes. Total scam. David belford claims to be the director of operations. He's a real a***ole and I got lots of threats from him . They threatened to come to my house and serve me. They never did. I wish I would've been smart enough to get my money back. I didn't realize I was being scammed until they tried to charge me outrageous late fees n stuff

I just receive this call at first I thought it was a scam until i look at some collections notices i just threw in a bag of bills. one rep wasn't pleasant but i called back to  a very nice young man and i took care of it,  my thoughts is this if you don't want the calls don't borrow money you know you cant pay back we all have had some hard times and still does but debt collectors wouldn't call or have a job if you didn't owe  money , Its never a good call when we owe money, notices i said WE. Everyone  know's what bills we have outstanding some are  fortune to pay back or make some arrangements. then you have those who try to beat the system or loan company's by not paying them back. My advice pay your bills and give back to who gave to you when your were down and Stop making UP Excuse why not to pay what you owe to debt collectors or law office's. Everyone care's about debt when you want to buy and house or car or need another loan. lets get our NATION back and help one another!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Its a total scam.The person writing named Blessed is working with them.These people called a friend of mine a few weeks ago.I called them back and they said my friend could be arrested there was a supoena etc. they were going to serve papers the next day.Like a fool I gave them my credit card # to make payment.They emailed me a receipt from a company that was out of business and an address of a vacant lot.I immediately reversed the payment and closed the account.They weren't too happy the next day when they called.A guy calling himself David Belford said I was a scumbag and he was coming with the handculls for me.I said OK you have my address,see you when you get here.Its been weeks and nothing happened.The number I called back to was 855-904-9727.Google it and read all about it.They just started calling again from 844-811-1142.I have contacted the NYS attorney general's office about them as they are working out of Buffalo NY.Think about it.Who calls you to tell you they are going to serve you papers?The first thing a person would do is take off.

A debt collector calling for Markeitha. When told they have the wrong number, she asked if I knew the person. She was informed I did not and that this is my cell phone number and she's been advised she has the wrong number. She tried to explain that people give out others' numbers and could be a relative.  I informed her again, I do not know the person for whom she is looking and to stop calling.  The representative, named Evelyn, stated "I will call everyday." I replied, "B***h, you have the wrong number, stop calling." She disconnected the call.

I receive the same call next day process server was at my door with court documents, I wish it was a scam or joke dam civil suit  and hot checks. guess I'll see what happens 6-5-14 Happy Birthday to me!!!!!!!

Left message saying "This is Joe. I ave a collection tied to your social security number. Please call me back at 844-811-1142"

Ignore him.  Total scam.  Process servers do not let you know in advance if they're going to serve you.  Don't let them threaten you, don't give them any information of money.
