I guess they hit Dunmore pretty good, because I've been getting calls from the Pearl River NY number too. Same thing happens. However, in my case, they stopped using the NY number and switched to alternating between two cell numbers registered to FLA. Someplace near Clearwater according to the area code search I did. Pray they don't get your cell number too like they did mine. I suspect they got it from some online people info finder.
Anyway, believe me. I feel your angst and also want it to end. Immediately. Unfortunately, when they bounce around like that it is unlikely it will ever be resolved until the !@#$%^ s are arrested. So lets keep our fingers crossed.

This company calls continuously.  There used to be a message regarding the person who handles the gas or electric account.  Now it just rings repeatedly and there is no one there.

yep, 845-652-1199. they call many times when i am here or not here every day. 10X today so far.
guess i'll simply lift phone and hang up if they are that difficult to remove.

How do you make this stop! In the past week I get anywhere from 6 to 8 calls a day How can I make this STOP!!!

Getting multiple calls daily from these people at all hours.  I have now told them I am contacting the New York State Attorney's office.  So now they ring and ring my phone and I get hung up on when I answer.

These people called me 5 times today. However, they are not the only calls we get. Something needs to be done about robo calling period !!!!

I have received nineteen calls from these scabs. They are blocked by Verizon but they keep calling. Who calls over and over and no one answers. Only scam artists who want you to give them information out of your account. I am sick of these calls. These people are bottom feeders and all of us have to suffer.

I just started to get these calls now on my cell phone. About 4 times a day...weird part is I'm no where near NY...

This is crazy, i get calls every hour or 2 on my cell phone from these jerks, I just went in my phone and found where I can block calls from a number, so I did it for them, hopefully it works. If they were nice people and actually responded when you push the number, I bet they would get a lot more people working with them, the dumba$$es. Good luck to everyone

these people call and call, it doesn't matter if you answer the first time.  when you call back you get a circuit busy.  computerized i'm assuming.  once they start they will call 4 or 5 times a day.  i have talked to them and they still call, probably on spite.

Annoyed, you don't have to re-register for the DNC, its permanent, all you did was give the telemarketers 30 day's free calling before reporting again.

Sadly it won;t stop the scammers, frauds and extortionists from calling. They do catch them, but it takes time. Some of those are not in the US doing these things either. So thats a whole  different ball game.. but even then, sometimes we do get lucky and they get them.

We get up to 10 calls a day from this number. They tell us we are entitled to lower energy rate. Hit 0 for imformatio. On a few occasions, we reached a human and told them to remove our number. This doesn't work. Verizon told us they can't block an out of town number. I re-registered on the DoNotCall list anf filed a complaint with FCC. It is too soon to see if the calls will stop. It is very sad that we can't enjoy the privacy of our own homes.

this just started about 5 days ago and they are calling 5 to 6 times a day.  When I press 1 to try speak to someone, it disconnects.  We are on the do not call list.  I don't know who else to call about this.  I'm getting really angry.

I spoke to a Cindy, I asked her what the name of her company was and she replied she works for a company that works with 17 of the 38 electric suppliers in my area. Sounds like they are trying to get me to switch electric suppliers.  I asked her to speak to a manager and she hung up. The calls start at 8am and don't stop until 9pm. Somebody do something about this PLEASE!!

Got a call in PA from 845-652-1199. New number old story. I immediately hung up on them. My phone is usually blocked by Verizon, but I am expecting a call. When you block a number Verizon only lets 10 phone calls come through. These are calls you want to hear from. I DON"T want to hear from these scabs. I am energized enough. These calls are rude, relentless, and wrong.

called my home on 3 seperate occasions. Call disconects before my outgoing  ans. machine message even finishes,. When called back a recording says "the number you have dialed is not accepting calls at his time.

Here's my plan. When these jerks call, answer the phone. Then they ask for the person who pays the electric bill, tell them "Hang on let me get him".....place the phone on a table and walk away. Let them pay for the airtime, let them pay for the minutes wasted waiting for an answer and we'll eventually tie up the line and it will delay all following calls.....

Rang my phone and then hung up. This came in on our home number which is on the do not call list. I've now blocked the number.

845-652-1199, 847-486-3390, usually with a V7181910450004 or some other V number on top of the 845 numbers. How do you stop these people? YOU HAVE TO TAKE DRASTIC STEPS. Joining the National Do not Call Registry DOES NOT WORK! These robo callers and computer generated numbers roll over and change. How are you able to track them down or find them? Most of the people who join the (NDNCR) registry feel their numbers and information is being sold or given out to larger companies. My Problem: I get calls from collection agencies who are looking for other people. I have no outstanding bills anywhere! I get 3RD Party collection agencies calling me; companies that claim they're calling on behalf of another company that I owe money to - 10-15 years ago! They bought the account and they're trying to collect and make some money. When I call the actual company I'm supposed to owe money to, I get - You Don't Owe Us Any Money, etc. Under The Fair Credit Act, they aren't suppose to be able to bother you but if you don't know better, you fall for their tactics. For the past 2 years I have been getting calls from a company that calls my 5-6 times a day! They call and ask for a fake person, then when I say they don't live at this number and to stop calling, they come with - Are You The Person Who Pays The Con Ed Bill? Now, because of the harassing calls and the frequency - Why The Hell Would I do Business with you? They are so retarded and vile, without any concern or care for the people they call and harass. YOU HAVE TO TAKE DRASTIC STEPS: After 2 years of ignoring them, not answering their calls, pressing the silence button and going through the garbage I decided to face them and do something about this. The phone number I've had for 10 years I had to change. It felt like I was losing a good friend because I liked my phone number, actually (won $5,000 playing the last 4 digits in 07). Anyway, I had to pay $100.00 to get a phone swap, a new number, that was unlisted, private, and did not allow collection or third party calls. I had my modem reset, which Time Warner did from their end, WHICH I unplugged and did again to make sure. I got a new number but they did not list it as private and I was still getting calls so they had to not charge me for it because I was getting the calls and give me a new number that was PRIVATE, no calls allowed unless I gave you my number and want you to call. Change your number and make sure its a new number. We become so attached to the numbers and this allows them to keep calling and harassing us. These vile companies know they'll never get our business. I tried one of them but after 2 days realized that they'll turn off your service if you were a day late with payment, at least Con Ed works with you. This same company is the main culprit and agitator constantly calling my phone because I didn't do business with them. They will try and wear you down and think that their constant calling is going to get you to spend money with them, what a stupid bunch of idiots.

They just called here again!  I picked up the phone and heard some type of noise in the background.  It almost sounded like central booking at a jail!  Then I heard the message "To accept press 1.  To refuse press 2". After it repeated that a couple times, it hung up.  I blocked them on the digitone, but I will report them AGAIN!

The way to get rid of these people is to tell them you have a 199% SOLAR house!  THEN report them to the Federal Do Not Call Complaint Center via e-mail.
Guys can get rid of female callers quickly by asking the caller if she is wearing a bra. They have no idea what number the machine dials, so they have no idea who your , and they don't care.
