Woman left message, stating that she was with Katz Law Firm, and needed to speak to (name) about an urgent legal matter. Have received four calls now. Knowing that lawyers only call to harm or harass, never to help, I have not returned the calls. I have been reading here that it seems to be a bogus collection attempt using illegal intimidation tactics. I have no plans to return their call. If it is legitimate, they can mail a request along with evidence/proof, which is their legal obligation. Also, if the demand is legitimate, it would show up on a credit report, and there are no claims on credit report. They also use phone 845-547-0487.

Received a call in 2010 stating that one of my checks had bounced.  The person on the other end of the phone could not be identified.  This person was very rude and threatened to take my family to court.  No document was ever mail to my address.  06/27/2013 a person identifying himself as Paul, calls and states that check had bounced and with interest that it had incurred was now $415.00.  In addition to stating that  if it was not payed by today COB we would be sued.  This individual started out again being rude but then calmed down and would not provide any information on what company was the one requesting this restitution.
