Called my cell phone on numerous occasions. When my voicemail picks up, I get the tail end of a message that says "sign in your yard". Called back and it says the number is shut off now. Getting really annoying.

I have blocked this number -- Yes, not a solution, as I am sure they will continue to call from a different number. I have gotten the same or similar call (all recorded messages) trying to get me to agree to 'free' medic alert or home security from at least 12 different phone numbers in the last 3 months (I keep a log and report each one to FTC.)

Call was on 6/20 @ 11:19 a.m. Caller ID says OPERATIONS. Didn't answer, no message. Don't want or need an operation LOL!

Well here is my story... caller ID Reads: Operations.  It rand twice, I connected and disconnected immediately. Operations?  As in Open Heart Surgery?  An obvious SCUMBAG!  Somehow some way these SCUMBAGS need to be tracked down and eliminated.

Next time they call, answer and do the prompts like you want the system. They will switch you to other person who can ask all kinds of questions. Eventually they will hang up on you but wasted a bunch of there time. Keep doing this and they will quit calling.

Also receiving calls despite dnc list and asking to be removed from list.  Multiple calls all during the day to an office phone - horrible!

The DNC is run by the FTC which is a federal government agency.  They're  busy listening to our calls and reading our email to do what they're supposed to do.  Thats what happened to the DNC

Another call from a company that hides behind "operations".  The answering device picked up and it was a robocall about security crap.....

If your phone has a feature known as selective call forwarding, simply forward the annoying telemarketers call directly to the federal trade commission complaint hotline number 1-888-382-1222 . That will cure them from dialing your number ever again. It works like a charm.

Have them come out to do the install... get the company's name... and then make them miserable in court for harassment, etc.

Caller ID had the name as "Operations"
They were trying to sell me a security system for my home.
I managed to ask them why they don't abide by the do-not-call registry, but they disconnected before I could get an answer, better luck next time.

How is $8.00 Free?????

Called me today -- saying our local police department endorsed them.  Ooops.  I work closely with my local PD -- they have information.

Waiting for follow-up call from "NY Dear" to see how/if they follow up.

Stupid worthless childish scam calls. These a**hol*s pestering people on the phone. More unsolicited  calls - now from some "Operations"  on the caller ID. Operations what? Yeah right Operations, Go F**** Yourselves. You can't even identify yourselves over the caller ID as a legit company name.

Sick and tired of all of these scum telemarketing or so called survey calls. Of course we will never answer any of these type of calls. Matter of fact, we won't even pick up the phone unless it's someone we know, or it is a legit company that we know of, and we are expecting a call from them.

This number called with the same message that you posted.  If I would put a sign in my yard, they would give me a free home security system, the recorded message said. On my caller ID, the source was listed as "NEW YORK DEAF."
Instead of pressing the 9 to be put on their "do not call list" (as if I believed that they have one), I used my own phone's call block system--the one my phone company provide--to block this number from getting through in the future.

This is apparently a very profitable senior SCAM.  They tell you that some friend or relative has paid for a home security system and there is no cost for the system or for the installation.  (The cost comes from a
hefty monthly maintenance fee that goes on forever.)  Sometimes the call refers to a Medical Alert system which appeals to many seniors.  Don't fall for this or for anything coming to you "FREE."

It's worth paying for Caller ID.  The numbers come up on your TV and it saves you getting up to answer the phone.  If you don't recognize the number, let it go to your answering machine and check it later--or if you don't have an answering machine, let it evaporate in the air.

All I say is I am the Nanny .. Can you please hold on for one moment while I get a pen and paper ...please give me your home number and when my bosses are available I will have them call you after 11pm and before 5am when they are available.. O' we can't do that ... I say why not you don't mind calling them at home.. They don't call back..

Why do we get this call at least twice a week ans sometimes more.  We are on the no call list and want them to stop calling.

The number listed called today and the Caller ID listed Operations. Since I did not recognize the area code I didn't answer. The caller did not leave a message. I figured it was another telemarketing call.

Try Re-signing up for the "Do Not Call" list.  I was told that I needed to do this every 3 yrs or so.  Did it and my calls have dwindled down to just  few each week, instead of 5+ or more I used to get daily.   It helped.  Other then that - DO NOT ANSWER ANY CALLS YOU DO NOT RECOGNIZE THE NUMBER FOR.   Most just want working numbers to re-sell to other scam companies.   Pressing any number to be taken off the list does NOT work - it only confirms that they have reached an viable number (yours).  

Also, check with your local phone company as mine offers a service (part of my package) that allows me to BLOCK any unwanted numbers.  THAT WORKS !
