Wow, As President & CEO of Fleetmatics, you should be ashamed of yourself. Your comment is extremely nasty, and enough for me to turn away and never give you company a chance. I'm appalled.

I agree with what your saying a few years after you posted.  System comes up with alerts several times a day when it shouldn't.  That's the least of my problems with them.

My main issues is that they sold this to me telling me it could do routing easier than my previous system.  Just to make a long story short, I now spend 30 minutes longer every night making routes for 3 trucks.  Should have stayed with the previous system from Nextraq.  As much as I thought there were issues with them, they make Fleetmatics look like children.

They of course will not let me out of the contract even if I paid for the equipment.

If you have a landscaping company, stay away.

A "Tom Cush" from Fleet Matics (sp?) called. When I told him the person he was asking for was unavailable he hung up. I called him back to tell him how rude he was to me and asked him to remove our number from his list.

W#e have the fleetmatics system and I must say for use it has been unreliable. Once showed I had a skid steer in Indiana doing 85 mph when in fact it was in my yard outside Atlanta. Was told these things happen. Just the other day had another issue with a Ford F550 that it said was doing 90 mph in a residential neighborhood while pulling a trailer with a Bobcat on it. Truck will barley do 70mph pulling a bobcat on the interstate. Once again was old system is not perfect. All Fleetmatics wants is for you to sign a 36 month contract. They will not cancel the contract even when you lose faith in their system.......I would stay away.

Gentleman butchered president's name, told me they were doing some work in the area, and had been referred to us by other local customers. When I asked who referred them, he said he'd find out and call me back...must have been his first day on the job.

You're nothing more than some entry-level lackey. No executive employee of a company would come to a public message board and leave a response like that. Now get back in the break room and make me a damn sandwich.

Dear Tree Hugger,

We really don't give a rat's a** whether you buy our system or not. We are the world's largest GPS tracking because we are the best. Most of our business comes from referrals and we have companies begging to see our system so we really don't need a rinky dink company like yours on board whining all of the time.

We have all of the business that we need. Can you say the same Tree Hugger?

Have a great day.

Got a call from "Arlington He IL" and a Ms. Allen. She asked to speak with my boss. I screen all his calls, which she didn't like! Wouldn't tell me what the call was about. She kept asking "Is he there?" I asked what this is about and that I would answer her question when she answered mine. She wouldn't and I didn't. She was not happy, I thought it was a riot!

Tree hugger I'm sure you are a great business owner with lots of trucks to maintain, but it's not about your guy's it's about utilizing every minute of every workday and to save a dollar where ever you can, and any business owner that tells me he is not interested in maximizing profits while cutting overhead on fuel, overtime insurance and so on and so on, is not who we are looking for anyway so the best of luck to you. We do very well and saved lot's of companies from letting go of drivers and service men, we are also the fastest growing Live Tracking company around.

                                        Thank you tree hugger

Companies deserve to make a profit and Fleetmatics helps with that solution.  If an owner of a company wants the system to  be covert, it is his or her decision.  If the owner wants to tell their employees, so be it.  And if the employees feel that it is wrong they are being tracked, than that is a trust issue.

Well, I wouldn't do THAT to my employees - I guess you don't trust yours.  I want mine to know up front because THEY are responsible for job profitibility!  They share in both the profits and the LOSSES.  Wouldn't want to deal with a company that is so "masked" in their ways.  No thank you.  There are other reputable vendors to deal with.

GE also has a wonderful vehicle protection/tracking system that is worth checking out!  Look for a NAVLOGIX dealer on the GE website!  With Gas prices high and the economy bad-- you should be able to protect your assets on wheels and be sure your employees are not out moonlighting with your equipment!  Navlogix pays for itself

i ACUALLY OWN THIS SYSTEM,
"In our first year with FleetMatics, we are on course to saving over $45,000 through increased productivity and over $11,000 in wages. It is extremely user-friendly and pays for itself several times over each month!
I can see why they are so vague about what they do, I had a covert operation done on the weekend, and would never whant my employees knowing about it.

Mighty have been interested if they weren't so clandenstine and secretive. Why can't people be up front and honest? Would probably get a lot more business that way.

I spoke to Nick Zito myself.  He works for a company called Fleetmatics.  They do vehicle tracking and I have seen the system.  It is nice and I may end up going with it in due time.  I did meet with a guy name Lou.  So, if you are the right company for a product like this, I would say at least take an appointment to see the benfits...

This 'place of business' calls, refuses to give a company name, when you try to find out what the call is about, the person I got today, claiming the name of 'Nick Zito', became very rude and said, "It's about new work, you're a roofing company right? Because I can call 10 other roofing companies." So I said, "Nick go for it. Have a nice day" and promptly hung up.  When you call the number it's "FleetManics", which is a GPS vehicle tracking company - had he just said that in the 1st place he would've saved a lot of time and energy for everyone.
