THIS COMPANY NO LONGER EXISTS !  THEY ARE OUT OF BUSINESS SO GOOD LUCK GETTING ANYTHING FROM THESE PEOPLE. WENT TO THEIR OFFICE IN HOFFMAN ESTATES YESTERDAY AND THEY ARE NO LONGER THERE !

I got the same survey then sales-pitch call combo. They offered a $72 movie voucher if we sat through their pitch. They said it's not a water softner, it's a "water conditioner". It's a $3k-7k water softner for which home depot sells for $400. When I got the "voucher" it wasn't a "voucher" after all but some rediculous rebate coupon that indicated you would only get rebated for movies seen monday through thursday and not on holidays with additional exclusions that make it worthless. Called the company and was offered a visa gift card. That was over six months ago and they just keep giving me the run around.

Tired of it, but they keep calling.  I am on the do not call list and told them not to call.  Filed a complaint today.  

They are running a scam.  They act like they are conducting a Survey, then market their product.

Received a call from 847 276-9719 on June 30, 2010 at 6:55 pm the guy said he was doing a water survey.  I asked how he got my unlisted number and in a real snotty tone he said the internet.  I told him no he didn't and we are not listed.  He said the "do-not-call registry does not apply to us because we are not selling anything".  On July 1, 2010 I got a call from 847-941-2193 and the guy said he was calling to follow up on the "our water survey that you took a few days ago".  I told him about the conversation I had with the guy on June 30th and also told him that they are violating law.  

The company is Hydro Pure Water Solutions, Inc. and I have reported them to the Better Business Bureau (www.bbb.com) and the Do-Not-Call Registry (www.donotcall.gov).  I will also be filing a complaint with the Attorney General.  I encourage everyone who receives these call to file a complaint.

picked up and a woman's voice mispronounced our last name, i asked who was calling and she hung up.  I called them back and a recording told me the number was not available.

Picked up the call and a mechanical voice said "Good-bye."  The call came in early in the evening on May 24, 2010.

I talked to the guy.He knew my name already.
He asked me about my water system.

I think this is a sales call.
And he said their office is in Alington heights.
