Received a call from this number this morning and could barely understand the language of the person spoken.
I was asked 3 questions by this person and answered no to all three questions.  My number is on the DNC list and will continue to be as long as I have this phone.

I just got my new cell phone number a couple of weeks ago due to annoying calls.  The first day with this new number this 850-290-5171 number began calling me.  First the man (with a thick foreign accent) said that he had money for me and I needed to come pick it up.  What the heck!!  I said do you even know my name?  He said "no".  Well, then why do you have money for me.  Please don't call me back.  Then, a couple of minutes later he called back saying that I had money owed to me from some past loan.  As many times as I ask him to NOT call me anymore, he continues to call.  What can I do?  I have lost my temper and yelled, and still, he continues to call me back, always with some crazy story.

After a year and a half of unwanted calls from these idiots, I'd had enough and decided to do some digging.
The company ultimately responsible for these calls is: EXCLUSIVE ATTORNEY LEADS, aka: EXCLUSIVE ATTORNEY MEDIA in New York (Brooklyn) and THEIR PH # is: 888-674-8678. The offshore call center they use is: Arogus.bpm in Ahmedabad, India. The Director of Arogus is Sohail Hingorja and HIS email is: sohail@arogusbpm.com His telemarketers use untraceable SKYPE, VOIP & track phones (hence the convenient Miami area codes) to call people from lists. They're only supposed to be following up with & qualifying people who HAVE FIRST CONTACTED THEM in response to an advertisement, but that isn't always (read: likely never) the case, given all the unwanted calls. Once they ?qualify? the lead, it is sent to Claudia at Lead Publishers in AZ (818-315-5415) who then puts you through to an attorney who paid big bucks for that ?qualified? lead. The head of EXCLUSIVE ATTORNEY LEADS is Rob Nilson. HIS # is: 631-897-5030. On the phone, he sounds more like a teenage boy who's just woken up.  The National Director of Sales for EXCLUSIVE ATTORNEY LEADS is: Richard Stephens and HIS # is: 646-210-8810. His job is to sell the over-priced, ?confirmed? leads (for $500 - $1200 a pop) to ambulance chasing law firms all across the US, looking to get in on a sweet class action lawsuit, with minimal effort on their part.

To stop the calls, you have to report them to the FTC. But not the numbers that have been calling you because those are fake numbers anyway. You have to find out the name of the company who hired them to make the calls in the first place. That takes a bit of creativity.
The next time they call, play along with them. Answer ?yes? to all their questions. Stay with them long enough for them to pass your info on to the attorney. When the attorney calls you, make sure he's legit - google him & the name of his firm. Then clue him in to the unwanted calls you've been receiving and find out the name of the company he buys his leads from. Then report THAT company to the  Federal Trade Commission ? 877-382-4357.
Alternately, you can also call the numbers listed above & give them a dose of their own medicine!

I have dealt with their phone calls for awhile... They are getting fewer between when I tell them if they call me again, I will curse them with the blood of a pig, and eat their firstborn! lol
Apparently they don't have a sense of humor.  I haven't gotten but one call in the last month, and they were calling a couple times each week.  The guy that called morning wasn't impressed with my threat!

Keep receiving calls from this number; dead air at other end.  I think that once I state the company name, he realizes that it is a business and hangs up.

I'm constantly getting these calls.  Each time I block the number on my cell and they find a new number to call from, but the majority of calls come from a Florida area code.

My favorite trick is to either give the phone to my 5 yr old and tell her it's Santa or blow a whistle in his ear.

Since I have been on the DNC list since it's inception, evidently it's another government entity that isn't working.

Keep getting calls from this number over and over, think is the same guy i get when i call Dell tech support!  I am looking for a way to block the call from hitting my non published number.

Try dealing with 30 plus calls a day and this jerk calls from MULTIPLE phone numbers. I do just "not answer" or "hang up"...but I have to check everyone, because I do get other calls on my phone that are wanted... I can have all the "unwanted calls" forwarded to you since you are so peaceful about it. :)

Voice is of India Decent. Says he is from Medical something (hard to understand). Calls many times throughout the day. 6:00 AM - 7:00 PM The same voice has called using other numbers. Says his name is Robert I am on the Do Not Call list and have asked him to stop. He replied Or what?  I hung up... he called my phone 23 times that day, multiple different numbers. The next day, 17, etc.  I called the Sheriffs office, they cannot do anything, said to call my phone carrier.  We can block the number for 90 days, which isn't very helpful, as he uses multiple numbers. Sure wish they would get a life!

He called again at 3:25 Pacific time ... no message left

Called March 14 at 10:06 AM and did not leave a message.

Why, oh, why, do all the people above who are all upset about multiple calls from this number just NOT ANSWER or answer and then immediately END THE CALL? Which is what I just did. It's so easy! And there's no anger or frustration involved! Yikes! Peace out, people...??

Been called twice today says his name is brian and asking me about past surgeries i didnt have. When i told him i didnt know anyone in florida he hung up.

I keep getting calls from this guy and I keep blocking the numbers (i think this is the 4th?) he uses. You would think he would give up! Very annoying.

Don't know who this is, but since they called me to in WV, I am sure it is some kind of scam or salesman.

My wife retired, turned 65 and when she was close to Medicare age all these d**n d health insurance medicare supplemental policy sales people started calling.  Someone in her health supplies chain for diabetes test supplies got her number and those unknown parties started calling so if we do not have an ID name we recognize, unknown or private caller we do not answer. Landlines are tough but it is a b***h when the fishturds get your cell numbers. Pop

I just got a call from this number as well. Don't think there is much we can do , but unwise to post your cell number here, just opening yourself up to more calls. I suggest you delete this post and repost without your personal number. Good luck...

you can never track him down he puts up false picture lure you and mis-lead you . now true with your link. facebook come on that is a lie.  anyone one can post website to take you off the track he is from nigeria. and united state law cannot touch him.  you can post and paste anything picture you name it. this guy is Nigerian and storys have been on this dr. phil show , ABC 20/20 to name a few. you cannot stop these calls. they are made from Nigeria on through away phone or magic jack phones that are on computers and the set up is they have set up to call hundreds of people with recorded message to make money with a perfect talking american guy name john and a long message and at the end he wants your info. STOP there. its a scam. boy I left him a long message swear words of all I can think of. and trust me I did not leave out nothing. the accent people think its a latin, indian,  but its not any of them its Nigerian. you can look up online and here on nigerian talk. you will see and say OMG its that voice . well another thing I watched on dr. phil show 2/5/2014  here is the show  link  http//dr.phil.com/shows/show/2163   this guy is the same voice. then I said to myself he is a love scammer too . looks for woman who want a mate and scams money out of them. this lady got taken for 250,000. life savings  its was crazy. the show focus on  Love scam: mother hooked by a catfish?  go and watch it and hear his voice. all I can say is  he has a set up of phones 100's of them calling machine that dials up 1000's of phone numbers that telemarketer use and sits there until he get a bite and talks. its like fishing.  20/20  ABC had a show on Nigerian scammer. they caught some at washington state and the FBI only can get them if they are in united states.  In Nigeria  no. this is why they do it by a computer calling system. I have searched and searched and this is how they are doing it.  I cannot say they are smart just professional a***oles and want to make us mad. this is how they break us down. you give into their scam to stop calling or they will continue to call until they get you. we all need to keep a log of the date of call and number so you can see what others are saying on the calls they are getting. keep notes on type of calls. I went to dollar store bought a composition tablet for a dollar and keep all the info we can kill this Nigerian parasite with not giving him the satifaction of annoying us.  we will make him stop calling for a while because he cannot get us to talk or answer his calls. I turn my phone off because tired of getting woken up at 7:15 am . so turn off your ringer because if you have a answering machine he will not leave a message. how annoying is that to call someone and you get answering machine. he would think dam another answering machine let the joke be on him now  get a answering machine call ID and make his life crazy  you cannot scam a answering machine right. out of business sucker.  lol  to all I know this makes you laugh.  lets get together and kills this idiot...

This guy just called me saying I took birth control and had blood clots. Said he must have the wrong person, he then said oh you had the urine problem with having to pee all the time. Who talks like that? At any rate, I've never had any of those problems. As I was telling him he needed to remove my phone number he tried to ask if I had kids. Seriously? I hung up but he called back. Twice. He needs to be stopped. Also he said his name is Kevin from Health line.

Tracked him down. This is the little s***. He's basically running a phishing phone-bank. Hes in the UAE and bouncing the calls out of Florida

Called 20 times didn't stop calling until my husband answered the phone

I contacted the FTC about this harassment and have a file number from them.  I also contacted the Attorney General's office in Mass., but they can't help me.  So, I called the Attorney General's office in FLORIDA, from which these calls originate, and they are sending me a complaint form.  Don't know if either of these agencies can stop these calls.  Further, I documented the times per day that they call me to the FTC, again, probably not going to get anywhere.
