When I recalled the number, the recording said they were "Not a service provider" and "Thanks for calling 'Whitefin'" or something that sounded like "Whitefin."

I'm getting an increased amount of calls from this number, with no one on the other end.  It is really becoming a nuisance.  I'm waiting to hear news about a very ill relative and this is just craziness.

Yeah, they continually call without leaving any messages or even talking to me when I answer it quickly.  They just hang up or have a blank robo-call.  When I call the number back to see who it is, a message tells me they were calling with an announcement or looking for feedback on issues in my area (which is apparently a lie because they made no announcement and asked no questions).  Of course, the message doesn't say who it is or give any way to talk to anyone.  It does allow you to press "1" to have them take you off their calling list, but it says it may take 4 days.  

Caller ID only says:  "Pensacola, FL 850-462-1107"

I'm getting those calls of silence every 5 minutes.  I'll let the machine get it next time and see if the response is different.

I will be very happy when this election is over and these calls/ads/text/email are over for another 2 years.  Maybe they will figure out how to make this high-tech form of political campaign work correctly and we will figure out how to not let them use automated phone messages, text and email.

I got a call from this number and when I answered noone answered back! I stayed on the line for at least 2 mins waiting for someone to say something but there was noone there!

This number calls my privated, restricted, unlisted number regularly, when I answer no one says anything, and when I do not answer the call, the message they leave is garbled and you can not understand what is being said. How do they get my unlisted numbner?

Left a rude noise on the voice mail.  No longer answer the phone.

First call from this # was a hangup/no message.  Second call (5 min. later) was an automated call from Carl Rove urging me on how to vote on some amendment or other.

At least you're hearing something.  When I answer there is just complete silence.  After I hang up it calls back within a minute or two and still the silence.  I hate these the political calls.  The constant commercials on TV are bad enough but I think the line should be drawn at phone calls to my home!

Got a call from this number yesterday while I was on the phone to my Mom in the same area code.  Kinda weird.  No message on the voicemail though.

I just got a call from here. Let the machine take it. It said it was unable to take MY call...I didn't call..."it" did!  Also wiped out all my calls I had stored on the phone. A second phone was OK. Strange.

WOW, I normally ignore any 800,888 or any other number starting with an 8 but this one was too weird to ignore. It does indeed sound like the devil himself. Too bad we can't send a reply message like with emails and let them hear that mess at 11:00pm -Morons

Call from the other side, indeed!  I've never looked up a number like this on the internet but this one freaked me out so much I had to do a little research!  Now that I know it's a political pitch call, I'm P.O'D!!!!!

I just got a call from this number. It was creepy. It's a recording playback super super slooooooow, so it sounded like a old lion barely able to growl.

I agree with you!  This message played for 5 minutes.   It sounded like it was repeating my recently deceased dog's name........from HELL.  But, I know my doggie is in heaven.  :)
