this is bogus

If you have caller ID and an answering machine and you don't recognize a number just don't answer the phone. If they really want to talk to you they'll leave a message.

Caller ID shows this as a Pensacola, FL number, but when I called it back, the operator came on with "We're sorry, you have reached a number that has been either disconnected or no longer in service.....If you feel you have reached............blah blah blah."  WHAT A NUISANCE!

Same thing happened to me this morning on my cell phone.  If they want to try and steal my money, I wish they'd do it at a reasonable hour! :P I never knew something like this even existed.

I got the same call from this number talking about lowering my interest rate. Does anyone have VOIP service? I don't believe I was getting these types of calls until I got this type of service. I have Vonage. I've also been getting calls from what looks to be an international number (011442...), with the same type of message. Has anyone else been getting that one also?

I got a call from 850-475-5122 today at 11:33. They  have been trying to speak with me for over a month now. I simply will not answer a number I do not know. They can leave a message, and I will just erase it and go on living.

Piss on these people who are a waist of skin, and not worth my time.

Why can't anything be done to stop these annoying and dangerous people?

Received a call from (850)475-5122.  Looks like a scam. Maybe there needs to be a law that makes it possible to suspend the phone service of these scammers, with appropriate and punative fines attached. Then, make it difficult, if not impossible for them to obtain new phone service, especially long distance access,  in the future!

Also received a call on my cell phone from this number. Didnt answer and they did not leave a message. How can we report this to the proper authoritie and will it do any good?

Got call from 850-475-5122 and when I answered there was just dead noise on the phone.  When I called back, I got the same as others, that the number had been disconnected or was no longer in use. This was on my cell phone.

left a message on voice mail about extended auto coverage

I just got a call from this # on my cell phone. It was gut named Brent from some Auto Warranty company. He hung up on me when I asked him to repeat the compant name for me. I tried calling & got a recording saying "You have a reached a # that has been disconnected or is no longer in service". How can they call from a disconnected #???? Damn bastards need to get real jobs!!

850-475-5122 comes up as Florida on my caller I.D.(provided by Verizon), a pre-recorded message says I have a limited amount of time to lower the interest rates on my credit cards, please press 1 to speak to a representative.  I press 1 to yell at them for calling me, and I can hear the person fumbling around, and then they hung up.

I got a call the other day from another "Florida" phone number and thought this was the same thing. The message was about upgrading my waranty on my car or something like that, so I knew it was a scam, seeing as how I don't own a car. I pressed 1, a person answered and hung up as soon as I asked for a supervisor.

Caller ID says "Marketing" I amswered just to see and it was a tape of a voice telling me it was about my credit card account. I hung up.

The caller phones, leaves no mssge when answering machine picks up. I'm in CT. Caller Id says Pensecola FL.

They left a message sying they could lower my interest rates to 6.9%. I called back 20 minutes later and got the message that this phone was no longer in service.

they had a computer telling me my auto warranty was about to expire.  They did not say a company name and as soon as I got a human, I demanded to know why they keep calling and he hung up.

Got the call to lower my credit card interest rate.  I don't own a cc so I pressed 1 to find out who was trying to rip me off.  Finally talked to someone for a second and they hung up on me.

When answering machine picked up, they hung up.

8504755122 looks like originated in Florida but it is fake rerouted number.
Do not answer if u see this number in your caller ID, just delete!

Received the call today.  When I tried to call back same thing, it was diconnected.

Call came in at 2:04 a.m.  I picked up and immediately hung up.  There was no call back.  This morning, I got this number off the caller ID and dialed it to get the same message as Toni above -- number disconnected.
