My grandma got a phone call from a "Windows Technician" claiming that her computer was "taking infractions in and would crash".  He said his name is Mike Rogers and his phone number is 850-502-2885.  He told her that he had her computer's serial number/license ID.  This isn't the first time someone has tried to do this to her so please tell your loved ones to be careful.

got a phone call from a guy heavy eastern accent said he was contracted through Windows / Microsoft said my computer was emitting  vicious virus's because of my downloads - I have virus software this will not happen - said he has my computer serial number - hung up told him not to call back

SCAM ALERT:  Just got a call from a "Windows Technician" with a heavy East Indian accent saying they had received error messages from my Windows computer for the last week. She wanted me to turn on my computer and she'd walk me through the steps to solve the problem.   She offered to tell me my computer's license ID number to verify her legitimacy.  Trouble is, I have a Mac!
