I just filed a complaint against these clowns with the Federal Consumer Protection Bureau.  At last a government agency with some teeth!  They also have posted sample letters to download to use in communication with debt collectors.  I urge everyone receiving threatening phone calls from this company to make a complaint at: http://www.consumerfinance.gov/complaint/

We got a harrassing call from some man at this number, was talking to a co-worker in the background when he called and didn't have the phone on mute, he was slurring when he talked and couldn't pronounce the name of the person whom he was calling for, then realized he called the wrong number laughed and hung up. ...Seriously ?
Is this a real company or just a bunch of high school drop outs that act like telephone tough guys to get a sense of entitlement in life ?

Received a voice message at work  from "Lisa Davis" with UPC & Associates demanding that I call back immediately or they would pursue a 30-day default judgment and seek to 1) garnish my wages 2) seize my bank accounts 3) file tax lien (what a joke !!) 4) seize motor vehicle registration and suspend my driver's license. All stupid scare tactics from a scammer. They always mention suspending a driver's license and going after the car to really scare vulnerable people. They can't go after a driver's license, that' s impossible. They don't scare me. I will see these weirdo's in court if they have something valid. Listed call back number: 855-207-5440. They used to harass me with a ton of messages last year that listed 888-959-2873.

Threatened court and told to watch my attitude for a complaint that wasn't even mine.

Received a blocked call, message left on voicemail asking to return call to 855-207-5440. Stating that my name and social security number is assoicated with a person who has been named in a law suit. If I do not return the call in 48 hours I will be receiving a summons to appear in court.

Did they really file a complaint though? And if so about what. I have never heard of this UPC Associations. They said on my answer machine there turning it in to human resources but I dont know what for
