Cindy Stokes 1-855-229-3457 was the number left on my vm, however my caller ID read a local area code+ph number.  This is a scam

This number keeps calling, looking for a company.  They aren't even looking for me.  What a pain in the keister!!

I received a recorded message from this number just like everyone else, saying I am a person of interest or whatever.  When I called back I asked what organization they were and they stated, "Regional Acquisition Group".  From what I gather since everyone is posting about this in Feb and March '14 that this is a new number that is list-calling people in an attempt to get money.

Any other opinions?

A robo call was placed to my home phone number asking for a person who doesn't live in my household to call...Cindy Stokes.  She will contact his job, his neighbors, etc. if he doesn't return the phone call.  I hung up but the call would not disconnect...it kept repeating the same robo call....about six times.  The call finally was disconnected

this number appeared as local, however, in the message 8552293457  was the call back number.  the same cindy stokes. same claim as above.  i am poor and broke, lost my job.  even with my job was struggling, so sue me i have nothing to take... LOL!  i believe in paying for what i owe, but if that means that i not provide for my children, well, forget it.   as long as i owe you.......

Actually the correct term is "Troll". Trolls are even lower than Shills. Shills have a goal. Which is to bolster their scam with BS. Trolls are just pests. They're made up of lonely, ignorant people who have no lives. They are almost invariably in need of professional help. They are very sad little organisms. Pity them, but never feed them.

This recording, made by "Cindy Stokes" called my home number today. However, the person or company she is allegedly looking for does not reside here. Maybe I would believe it more if it wasn't a recording with a robotic voice listing the name of who they are looking for.  As if I am going to call them back....

I have reported these people over and over the FTC is looking into them. They don't even state they are a debt collector and if you ask any information they argue with you. I don't even bother, they are now using local numbers even though they are not register here as an agency!

Calls like this are fraud and should be reported to law enforcement. Read Tamianth's post above for the proper links.

I received the exact same message from this phone number- someone named Cindy Stokes a collector representing US Bank? A checking account opened back in 2007- I never opened an account with this bank ever.

They called saying they were going to start a search for me with my past employers and neighbors

Calling my place of employment looking for a former coworker.

Received a call from this number.  Caller id said it was an unknown number.  The person left a message threading a law suit

My mom also got a call from them yesterday threatening a lawsuit and said they were going to take away all 3 of her vehicles for collateral.
