got a missed call today from the same area code as my cell #, which is from the area i moved from a year ago but kept the number. didn't recognize but thought it may be someone i know. i was at work so i did not answer. i received the voicemail stating to call this 855 # to claim my prize. decided to google it before i called and found these similar stories.

i had a text about a month ago stating I won something from Best Buy, i ignored it bc i haven't been there for a long time. I blew it off and completely forgot about it. Then i received a text a few days ago stating that I won a $1000 gift card from target. i just entered a survey they have at the bottom of the receipt a few days prior to enter to win a $5000 gift card. The text gave me a link and a claim code. I went there and it did nothing.

I'VE BEEN HACKED. This phone call has to be linked to these texts.

Received a call from 1-432-400-2457 telling me I had received a gift that I needed to claim to call 855-257-6914. Did not call. I have also received an email telling me that I have "Won" a gift card from Target for $1000. I went to the site and you have to sign up for all kinds of promotions from their sponsors.
Bogas scam.

Yep - tal me I won something and I call back to answer the number they gave me- LIAR LIAR their pants on Fire!!!!

I just received the same call 2 minutes ago, only the number that showed on my caller ID is (713) 343-5305.  It left 'part' of a message saying, "1-4, again, to claim your gift call us back at 1-855-257-6914, Thank you, Good bye."  Gotta love these scammers; they are getting more and more creative.  Personally I think they all need to burn in Hell, but then again I could just be having one of those days too. :)

I got an email saying I won a gift card for $1000.

I got a call on my cell phone from 661 449-1785 saying "Again to claim your prize, call us back at 1 855 257-6914"
I called and it just answers and hangs up.

I received a call from Greg thanking me for responding for a service I received. A free gift was waiting for me. I call but no response.

I AM ON THE "DO NOT CALL" LIST SO I SHOULD NOT BE GETTING SOLICITING CALLS.  THE NUMBER THAT SHOWED ON MY CALLER ID IS 479-616-1668.

Called at my work number that is on DO NOT CALL list. Recording said "Thank you for entering our online sweepstakes. You have won.. please call 855-257-6914 to redeem your prize". I am reporting them to BBB and FTC. If you get a call from this number PLEASE do the same. They get away with this because people just ignore it.

I got a call from a local number also. It said to call the 855-257-6914 number back to redeem my prize. I literally just signed up for a raffle 3 days ago and so I was hoping it was that! I called the number that had originally called and a machine answered right away. It said:

"Thank you for calling back. To redeem your prize press 1. *pressed 1*. Congratulations, you have been selected to win 3 $100 gas gift cards! Please hold while I connect you to a live representative"

I hung up after that because the raffle I had entered only had 2 prizes... and a gift card was not one of them.

I received a call from a local number in my area code, but the 855 number was given on a recording to call back and receive a free gift.  I called the number twice, both times the number hung up on me.  Freekin dix.

I had one missed call on my phone from a different number than the one in the voicemail they left listed which was this 1-855-257-6914 number. They stated to receive your free gift, call this number back so just out of curiosity, i called back but it never rang, it was a 3second call like they picked up the line then hung up.!!
