It was late in the day here on the west coast when I noticed I had a voicemail from them. Curious, I called the # but apparently they close at 6pm Central Time. Then I decided to do some research on their phone#. I'm soo glad that I didn't check my voicemail earlier that day.

Absolute scam!  If your credit card processor ever has an issue with your account, they will not contact you via telephone, nor will they begin by not announcing who they are.  This woman called our business three times within 10 minutes regardless of how many times I told her she was DEFINITELY not with my credit card processor.  The third time I threatened to lodge a complaint with my local police department for harassment and that I would be informing our credit card processor and the merchant services rep at our bank.  After shouting "YOU DO THAT, YOU GO AHEAD AND DO THAT," she hung up on me.  Ugg.

Lisa called me today and said she was with Visa/MC and that my processor had overcharged me and they need to clear it up before next month because I will continualy be overbilled.  Asked if I had gotten the letter from the class action lawsuit.  What a scam, this one today was quite convincing!!!!  Same extension too.

A message was left at our office to call Amanda at 1.855.492.7159 x1311 saying that she was from Peir1 or Tier1 (couldn't hear clearly) merchant services and said that we may have been charged too much on our billing for April and May. So the next day I was told to call this number to find out what it was all about. When I called it directed me to their Statement Dept and Wendy answered the phone saying that she did call us to inform us that we were being charged too much on our merchant service bills and if I would fax them our bank statement to 1.855.492.7161 she could go through it with me line by line to show which ones were being overcharged. At this point I became suspicious and told her hold on a moment while I gather the paperwork to fax; that's when I hung up. Then this person called me back right away on my direct business phone#, which I didn't give her by the way, but I didn't answer it. I then called our actual bank to ask them about this and they said its not a good idea to fax our bank statement to any company if you are not already doing or not planning to do any business with them.

Got same phone call from a "Hailey" at the same extension.  When I asked what amount they were referring to she hung up.  I knew it was a scam from the start but, I love to piss them off!!!  Am reporting it to my actual merchant center.

I have gotten many calls from this number at my place of employment.  I finally one day listened to the lady and almost believed her, but when she told me to put her on hold and fax her my credit card reports I instantly became more suspicious and told her no.  She called me back today, 6-9-14 trying a different angle and I told her that I am not giving them any information because they were a scam and simply hung up.  If they call back I am going to tell her that I am going to report her and contact the BBB.

They're still at it - got this call May 13, 2014.  One of our waitresses took the call from this number (or this is what they gave to return the call).  Said about the same thing - they MAY have overcharged our account.  She also said she was Amanda Walters and, besides the phone number, said to ask for extension 1311 when we called back.  Will, again, report this to police, etc.

We receive approximately 3 calls a week from "Merchant Services" to inform me that I am being overcharged. This particular call was insistent & yet when I pressed "Olivia" for  HOW they knew I was being overcharged her only response was that we were being "red flagged".. She assured me that they had no information regarding my present cc merchant so I again asked how they could possibly know that I was being overcharged & she again responded that I was red flagged. When I said that that made no sense what so ever she explained in a condescending tone that obviously I did not know what a first tier wholesale merchant was. At this point I explained to HER that I did indeed know & that the conversation was OVER & hung up. She called back & my service writer answered & she said she had "forgotten" my name at which point I instructed him to hang up as well.I am sooooooooooooo tired of these incessant calls tying up my business line & my time!

This is a scam similar to switching your electric provider or landline phone company to "their" higher priced company.  Glad you didn't fall for it.

Just received call from nice, intelligent sounding lady calling herself "Valerie".  She said my store had been overcharged on the merchant service rates.  I asked her if she worked for the company that processes our credit cards, and she thought for just a second and said, "yes".  "If you'll go over your statement with me, we will get your overcharges adjusted".  I even asked for their phone number so I could call back after looking up our store's credit card statement, and "Valerie" gave me the same number and extension that everyone else is mentioning, (855)492-7159, extension 1311.   We don't use her alleged "Tier One" company, so I am personally convinced that the call was a scam, and it is probably a successful one, because the lady was so articulate and so willing to bend her story quickly in order to obtain whatever confidence she could, and they must be very confident themselves that they will be neither caught nor prosecuted, because they are openly inviting a return call.

These people called our business and appeared to be from our merchant services credit card company.... and wanted the person in charge to call them back.  I am the person in charge, and I was given this phone number and extension 1311 and told to ask for Jessica.  I called the number which said it was Pier One (or Tier One?) Processing.  I went through some automation to get to  extension 1311.  A guy answered and transferred me to "Jessica".  She asked my business name....and then asked my name.  She said she wanted to discuss overcharges on my merchant account statement and wanted to get those corrected.  I told her I was leary about giving her information if the call wasn't legitimate.  She said that it was legit and that she would show me that it was legit if I would look at my last two merchant statements.  She then ASKED ME for info off of my statement, such as the fees charged in March and the total amount funded to my bank.  I told her that if she was legit, she would have that information in front of her instead of having to ask me for it.  She said she doesn't have that information, as her department isn't allowed to have that information, but that they are just trying to correct the overcharges for us. Again, I told her that I was leary if the call was legit and I didn't want to give out more information.  She said that she was just trying to get the overcharges corrected and that if I didn't want to help her do that, then she would just move on to the next client.   I told her that I didn't want to give her any more information, and that I would just call the phone number on my merchant statement.  She very quickly said OKAY, and she hung up the phone.  I did call the phone number on my merchant statement, and the person who took my call in "billing" department was named Jessica.     (which is pretty odd when you think about it.)   She transferred me to another merchant services account representative who told me that they had NO OUTGOING CALLS to me today regarding my merchant account.  They said it was a fake call from a company who was trying to get my information so they could try to get my business.  Scammers.  Liars.  Don't give them any information at all!!   They sound really convincing and really professional (until they begin getting rude when you don't believe them), but don't fall for it.  Also..... be sure to report them in every way you can.

Phishing scam, do not give them any info.  They are probably still waiting for me to fax them the info they requested so they can "straighten out my rate increase and avoid being further overcharged."  This is the parent company to Pier One......

I keep receiving calls from Wendy claiming there was an overcharge on our account and said she was from Merchant Services. When I called back; as I suspected, it was NOT merchant services. We had calls like this before, trying to say we had an overcharge and asking for information. She also used the same extension of 1311. I left a message to not call us again. We'll see if that works.

Got a call from 855-492-7159 Brandy at EXT 1311. Trying the same thing. I also heard recently if you call numbers back that you dont know, they may be originating outside the US and will charge you huge long distance charges. Better to not call them back at all.

I have received several calls from different people stating there is an overcharge on our merchant service bill.  They have tried to talk to someone at our company  3 times already this week.  Today they left a message to call Barbara Ray at 855-492-7159 X1311.  I am tired of getting calls from these people.

They hit us today too about our CC processing. Hard to understand if it was Pier One or Tier One.  What a scam!!! These people are pushing and they sound trusting, but since we were scammed by the Yellow Pages, I was reluctant to send anything. Brandi called back twice to see if I had sent anything, she was told by a co-worker that I was unavailable and was rude to my co-worker and hung up.  Hang up on these people!!!!
