Same thing happened to me. Told i won a $1000 shopping spree with magazine subscriptions. Stupid me gave them my debit card number. I got suspicious after hearing that i would have to pay some amount for 60 months and told "Theresa" that i was no longer interested in this offer and shopping spree. She immediately ended the call and left me hanging. Now im dealing with my bank. I really hope karma comes back to them and gives them a kick to the head.

My son (18 years old) received a call from these scammers asking him to call them back at 855-581-5150 before 5 PM to claim his $1,000.00 online shopping spree.  He registers to win online from store receipts.  Just last year he won an iPad from a legit company so I didn't see the harm.  Their VM message was not automated and it was a live person named Whitney.  My son called back and was just about to give "Whitney" his credit card info when I entered the room; grabbed the phone and informed her I was his guardian and wanted to know why they needed his credit card number.  She asked if he was 18 and I restated the fact I was his guardian.  She told me (as if I didn't know this from working in the legal field) that if he is 18 then she needs to speak with him and not me.  I restated my claim of guardian and elaborated further that it included his financial affairs....she then hung up on me!  Complete scam!!  We cancelled the account immediately as I did not hear just how far into the conversation he may have gone.

So I called the 5150 number and it sounds too good to be true. It's a 60 month magazine subscription @ $17 per month with the thousand dollar shopping spree. Sounded too good to be true so, God forgive me for being rude, but I just hung up when they started asking for debit card info after I told them I'd pay by money order. They're VERY pleasant to speak with tho :-)

what was the catch

I got one and said I won a $1,000.00 free shopping spree. It's titled Gift Department. They asked for me to return call to claim my prize. I called to check it and there are two different numbers connected to that department. And they are (855)-581-5150 annd (865)-475-8814.
