It's a huge SCAM they called me and I told them I was going to report this to the FBI and they tried to convince me it's not a scam. By the way if somebody is suing you they will not have any contact with you at all. Also a real collection agency cannot sue you after the debt is three years old and my last cash advance loan I took was in 1999 yeah ok 15 years later I'm being sued for this fake none since. Be very careful they used the same words by word with me this is a scam and a few days ago the called my wife with the same thing but a different number. They left me a message and said if I don't call em back they will have legal documents sent to my home and place of employment. This us fake the last advance loan I took was in 1999 and 15 years later I'm being harassed. Just to let everybody know a collection agency by LAW cannot sue you after three years. First off, debt collectors don't file criminal charges.   Only public prosecutors do that.   Secondly, they're not going to file civil proceedings either.  

They don't want their identities known.

Total scam.  No one is served with "judgment papers."   They're just tossing around meaningless legal terms in an attempt to scare you.

Total scam.  If there is a returned check, then the bank would contact you , not some two-bit debt scammer.   In an NSF case the bank is the victim and they would call you first.   Normally a bank will work with the customer to resolve the situation as long as the amount in question isn't a lot and it was just some sort of oversight.    

These people who called you are particularly  thuggish debt-scammers and are well-known on the internet.   Don't talk to them, don't call them.  DO NOT GIVE THEM ANY MONEY and do not fall for any sort of threats.   They will toss around words like "jail" or "arrest" or "warrants"   it's all nonsense; debt collectors can't arrest anyone.  You can't be arrested for ordinary civil debt.  Yes, bad check cases, if intentional,  are always prosecuted by the local District Attorney.  But you can call your local district attorney and tell them what happened that you have been victimized  and they can check for you.  Don't pay any attention to these debt scammers.     If there was a bad check case against you the police would already have interviewed you.

These people can't sue anyone, because if they did, their scam would be available for the whole world to see.  Which is something they do not want.  To this day, nobody knows who at this phone number is calling out these scams!

I got a call from this number today. The lady name was Maria Santrez she stated they are going to file legal action against me 2 civil and 1criminal,she said exactly what everyone has stated in this comment box..what can I do about this matter..can anyone give any suggestions?

I received a 3 calls from an unknown number from a Brittany Walker, she said, "A case is being filed under my name & social ending in xxxx,  I am scheduled to issue out legal documentation to your residence and as well as your place of employment, if I have any questions or concerns you need to contact the Department of Legal services directly at 855-614-6759 and refer to your case number."  Sounds like a scam to me but I am VERY concerned that she was able to tell me the last four digits of MY social security number, and the weird part is she asked for me using my Maiden name, I have been married for almost 4 years now! I would really like to know what is going on with these phone calls, this is the 1st one I have ever had that to where they knew some of my SS#!

I just received a call from 1-855-614-6759 and they said that they are going to serve me at my job and at my home and that they have filed papers through the DA office and to avoid further problems or if I have any questions call this number 1-855-614-6759 then they ask for the whole social which I refuse to give,and my address. I am going to call the DA office to see if they have any knowledge on what is being said,the also said they have a private investigator who they send out to find where you work or live and it is "suppose" to be for a payday loan that I know nothing about.They are saying they are from the DA office but I should call them at Bussiness Management and give them a reference number not the DA's office.the call came in as unknown caller

Received a call from an Unknown Number from a representative named "Lisa Bradley," explaining in a quick, stern voice that this is a courtesy call and a representative will be at my home later today to "serve me" with judgement papers.  If I wanted to avoid being served I should call 1-855-614-6759 and she gave me a case number to speak with someone regarding the matter.  Based off of the information I am reading above I will not call from my cell.  I recently had looked up my credit report to see any wrong information and it's not showing any judgement that would vouch for a call like this.... Avoid it at all possible!

SCAM!! I just got a call from this number regarding a check written in 2006 for some payday loan place. Aaron Stone ext 421 is the person I spoke with who had the last 4 of my SSN and the names of 2 of my uncles. He said I owed $255 or else I would get papers served to me at work and the price would then be $430 and if I don't respond with I will have legal action taken against me. I then contacted my bank who called me right away and said that I was the second person today who received a call like this. They've blocked my account and am putting a fraud alert on my SSN #. They use fear tactics to get people to pay.

I just got a call from this number 855-614-6759 telling me that they were pursuing legal action against me for a returned check. I'm at work and it got me so upset I'm almost in tears. I really hope this is not for real but since so many others received similar calls from this number I'm going to assume that it's not real. Crossing my fingers that I don't get sued!

Yes, I can understand  concern for like or similar name usage as a debt collection tactic related to a law firm. Very similar to tactics disguised as misdials or wrong number with debt collectors finding numbers a few digits off,  or transposing numbers and calling for that person. Searches may show results adding to confusion. Well, Slim, I don't know if you are the moderator or not, but this certainly is more trouble for me than it is worth.  I will agree with you that this site is frequented by liars, fronting for debt collectors.  For what it's worth, I found my name while researching for an existing client the phone number that is at the top of this thread.  Discovery in the lawsuit I will be filing for that client will be the means by which I will be obtaining the identity of the entity that subscribes to this number, irrespective of the claims made by the person starting this thread.  

To be clear, I have no interest in soliciting any business via this website, and if the mod wants to delete all my posts, that is fine.  Consider my offer to post the subscriber info, gratis, a perfect example of the adage, no good deed goes unpunished.

And finally Slim, since you seem to be suggesting that I am a "shill" for the collectors, feel free to call my direct line in the 616 area code so that you then can report back to the list whether I am the "real" attorney etc.
