I am so glad that you posted this because the same thing happened to me on the same day and I am going to report them--see my message below. I don't think they have the right to do what they did to me.

These people called me very rudely and said they were the county clerk's office in the county where I live. Are they allowed to do this? They also wanted my personal information and I would not give it to them so they called my ex in-laws!!! They were telling me I owed money to a company that I have never even heard of before!!!

I had calls on my home phone and cell phone. They were trying to contact a person I do my know and that individual does not live at this address. I made this very clear to the woman who took my call!  I am going to call AT&T to flag this number as fraud.  If I receive another call I will contact the Attorney General in the state of Texas!

My daughter in law also received a call from these people asking for my husband.  They claimed to be with the Indiana Dept of Revenue, and stated they were looking for my husband to serve papers.  Apparently they were extremely pushy and asked for my son when she wouldn't provide the information they wanted.  They finally left the above phone number and a reference number.

Received a very rude call from 855-619-6395 about wanting to serve a lawsuit to me.  They called someone else first asking for me when I didn't live there.  Gave out the company name of Corporate Offices and left a case number.  The girl said that they have been by my house several times to serve the papers and it looks like no one lives in the house.  I called back and the lady that answered said, "corporate offices".  When I got transfered to another guy who then referred to himself as working for EPA Litigation.  I asked for over 15 min what the lawsuit was about and he said that he could not give that information until I gave him my personal information.  When I explained to him that in this age, identify theft happens around all the time and if I didn't know why he was calling then I was not going to give out my personal information.  That's when he became loud and demanding for a time, place and date to have the lawsuit served.  I asked him what the other dates were when they tried to supposedly deliver to me, he said that he did not have that information.

Just received 2 missed calls from a unknown number. 2 messages left from the same person with the same exact information both times. The female stated the call was for me (used my legal name) and told me that some information was being sent to the "clerks" office and if I wanted information about the paperwork to call 1-855-619-6395 and the messages included a reference number.
