Was expecting a call and picked up 2014-06-23 16:36:41 Unknown
My husband was expecting an important call so with out thinking I picked up the phone. I didn't hear anyone so I just stayed quiet. When nothing happened I said hello and a recorded message started. They asked for a "Jennifer B......" and I hung up before they started all the prompt BS. We've had this number for 5 years....unlisted...but as soon as the phone was hooked up the calls started. Back then it was for a "Jennifer K...." and we literally received 30 calls a day from a wide variety of places. I kept a log and then sent info to PA Attorney Gen'l Office. Now we only get 4 calls a day: Portfolio Recovery412-235-6111); 800-Svc; Philadelphia(215-220-4746); and Bryn Mahr(610-922-8926). Most times no message is left (we have a generic message on our answering machine). But the last two days of 800-Svc has been "Jennifer B...." and after 5 years they are still looking for "Jennifer K....". Idiots, Jennifer K is listed in the phone book....try looking her up!!

This number robocalled my cell three times. The third time I answered and the automated announcement said they had an important call and that it was a call to collect a debt. I pressed 1 to be connected and got another message that there were no available agents. After this I gave up and blocked the number. I know exactly who and what I owe, and a legitimate company would identify itself.
Does this sort of activity really do something for them? With caller ID and blocking, does anyone really fall for whatever they are trying to scam us into? Ridiculous.

They tried to scam me out of 900 dollars for a bill that I paid 4 years ago. I told them that then they hung up on me.

Guy who answered said he works for the Collection Bureau of America -- they also call from 0195. They've called me previously and I asked to be on the no-call list starting last year. This time, I chewed him out/threatened to take legal action for lying to me about removing my number, asked for a supervisor/manager (he said one wasn't available), and he assured me that he removed me from the calling list. Obviously last year when I tried the same thing it didn't actually get deleted (or "Megan Gonzalez", who they keep calling for, gave them my number again at the end of this year). We'll see. I added them to my iPhone blocked list.
PS: MEGAN GONZALEZ -- wherever you are, STOP GIVING PEOPLE MY NUMBER. I'm sorry you owe tons of money, but just be a good citizen and own up to your mistakes. Thanks.

Creep said he was a collections guy for Charter. I do not have an account with Charter or owe any money. Told him that and he hung up quickly.

Like everyone else here, I out the call too. It's most likely a scam. Whatever you do, DO NOT CALL BACK! This is how they get more info from you! Just ignore the can like I do with every call that does not have a name from my phone book attached to it.

I've been getting calls on my cell from this company using 855 691-0191, 0192, 0193, 0194, and 0195.
Answered twice at first, no one responded. Answered twice more, got the recorded message to wait on the line for the next available customer service rep. nuh uh- I am on a minute pay plan, I do NOT wait on the phone for anyone!
So- today, I had enough! I called the number from my landline. The man who answered told me he would remove my number and before I could even give him my cell number, he hung up, so I called back. This time, the woman who answered was very thorough, listened to what I said, asked a couple questions, then assured me that my number was removed (although it *could* take 2-3 business days).
We shall see...
*Also posting this on this site for the other numbers this company uses.

Got a call today. - let it go to vm because I never answer 855 calls. Voicemail said they had an important business message for me and to press 1 to accept. The interesting thing is it used "Nikki" instead of Nicole - which pretty much all collection and similar calls use. Reading the other posts, I'm sure it's probably a scam of some sort.

Received the call today. I called them back and they asked what number they called and then said they have no such number in the system. The guy then proceeded to say the deal is that they are debt collectors but refused to tell me who or for what. I then told him he has already broke the fdca and he hung up. I do not believe this is a real company! Called back 4 times and was hung up on. Asked for supervisor and was hung up on! Will continue to call them and record the calls turnaround is fair play

leaves no message and called business phone and cell phone
CB 2013-09-17 05:04:05 Unknown
Yeah they called me 4 times in one day, which is really irritating because I work third shift and this woke me up. I think it might be Charter, because they have a tendency to call multiple times a day (sometimes from different numbers) without bothering to leave a message. As if you're going to answer the third or fourth time they call if not the first two? Bahhh.
VT 2013-09-17 01:19:44 Unknown
Same thing happened to me. Got a call twice from(855) 691-0192 and they left no message.
KC 2013-09-17 01:02:49 Unknown
Called twice today but won't leave a message. I answered second time and a recording stated that there was an important call for me with my name, and to push 1. I pushed one, got another recording that stated there wasn't an agent available and for ME to all them back during regular business hours at a completely different number. I didn't bother writing down the number. If they really want to talk to me they will have an agent available to speak with me when they call me.
