So, I just got a text from this number saying that they were looking to hire "secret shoppers." I'm interested in getting a job, so I called it, and it seemed pretty normal. They asked for my first name, last, if I had a credit or debit card, and my address (which was a little weird because I had already given them my zip code so they could find job openings in my area). But, in order to see if the "service" was legit, I had to pay $2.98 just to get onto their website. Being a poor, college student and sounding a little sketchy, I was hesitant to give him my credit card number, so I could look at the website. After telling him that I would just call back on Monday, he kept pushing me to give my card number, because if I didn't "secure my spot by paying the money, someone else will take it." He just kept trying to get at my credit card number. Sketchy stuff...

Received a call from this number- DIDN'T RECOGNIZE NAME OR NUMBER ON CALLER ID - DIDN'T ANSWER AS I KNOW IT'S AN ANNOYING/HARASSING CALL. Guess Best Solution is NOT TO ORDER ANYTHING ONLINE OR GIVE YOUR PHONE # OUT AS IT IS BEING SOLD TO EVERY TOM DICK AND HARRY ahem Spammer OR SOMEONE THAT HAS NOTHING BETTER TO DO WITH THEIR LIFE OR BUSINESS, AS MANY TIMES  IT'S A ROBO CALL OR INFORMATION ON LOWERING INTEREST RATES. ***THE DO NOT CALL LIST SURE DOESN'T WORK - ESPECIALLY AROUND ELECTION TIME WHEN ONE GETS BOMBARDED WITH POLITICAL CALLS AKA ROBO CALLS THREE FOUR OR FIVE TIMES A DAY.

These idiots call incessantly also these numbers...855-735-3532 and855-714-4351

This is their third non message call in two days. They are now added to my call blocker.

Fact 1 - The DNC list CLEARLY does not work, everyone should knows this by know!
Fact 2 - Filing a complaint with the FCC does not work, a total waste of time; done that.
Fact 3 - Having an unlisted phone will not help you.
Fact 4 - Asking/begging telemarketers to take you off their call list does not work!
Fact 5 - No "class action" suits are filed and certainly, this is not a remedy.   Many of these telemarketers are in other countries and out of the jurisdiction of the USA.
Fact 6 ?Complaining to the BBB is a corrupt organization that sells their ratings to the highest bidder.

Uniden and Panasonic make CALL BLOCKING telephones.  They?re cheap - $40-$60 and they usually come with a 2nd wireless handset, and they work beautifully!  These phones also block ?PRIVATE?, ?OUT OF AREA? and "UNKNOWN" calls!!!

FILE A FORMAL FCC COMPLAINT ON EACH AND EVERY ONE ON THESE CALLS.
IF YOU ANSWER OR CALL BACK YOU ARE JUST GIVING SOMEONE MORE INFORMATION ABOJUT WHAT TIME YOU ARE HOME.

Just received a call from 1-855-743-3251 which caller ID indicated a 1 800 service.  When are the phone companies going clean up their act and stop providing these hit and run schemes rotating phone numbers? This is the 5th posting on unknown callers I've done today and from the looks of it many of us view the DNCR a total failure. They are.  We should not have to go to the extra expense in paying the phone companies for extra blocking security.  Isn't that like the fox overseeing the hen house??? Phone companies should not be anywhere connected with these 1-800 rent/share and sell our numbers for marketeering purposes. but they are by providing rotating numbers. I'm not answering any call that does not provide a direct, precise ID.

This number calls several times a day.  Never leaves a message.  When I called back it says the number is not activated and still on hold.  How can this be.  Not activated and still on hold?

Toll Free call every day!  I never answer.  What good does it do to be on the Do Not Call List?

Once every two days, sometimes once a day, this 1-855-***-**** keeps calling with 800 Service on the ID. We have Comcast so can anyone tell me how the to block 855 numbers in general? Unfortunately, each 855 number has different 7 digits after that so logging each one is pretty useless.
Any help i s appreciated.

The caller id information appears to be spoofed so unable to locate the actual company responsible for the call.

I GET A CALL ALMOST DAILY FROM 855-743-3351.  FIRST TIME I ANSWERED IT - THERE WAS NO ONE ON THE LINE.  NOW I LET IT RING AND IT RINGS UNTIL THE MESSAGE PICKS IT UP BUT THEY LEAVE NO MESSAGE. IT IS VERY ANNOYING. TODAY, WITHIN 20 MINUTES, I RECEIVED ANOTHER CALL FROM 877-213-5486.  SAME THING -WHAT IS GOING ON?

The Do Not Call List is USELESS. The government needs to force the phone companies (Verizon, Comcast, etc) to allow their customers to block more than a measly 10-12 numbers. I get 12 different 800-type numbers in one week alone. It's gotten so bad this last year or so, it's impossible to block them all. I thought of buying a Digitone 10, but my husband doesn't want to spend the 99.99 on it. Maybe I'll ask Santa for one this year! Anyway, we've just stopped answering the phone when it rings and if someone has something to say, they'll leave a voicemail.

Called us yesterday at around 9:30 am.  Didn't leave a message.  We've been getting calls from 855 numbers for a number of days this month as we have in the past.  I believe this is a spoofed number as I tried but was not able to call the number back to complain.  (Our number is on the do not call list so that didn't help.)

Number shows up as 800 service on caller ID but lists the actual phone #.  Rings about 3-4 times and hangs up before answering machine kicks in.  Thank goodness I can block up to 30 numbers on my phone.

Receive calls daily from this number, no message, just hang ups from a number that isn't activated yet, huh?

Call came in at 8:55 pm on Sunday 8/14.  Did not answer it.

I have rec'd calls with about 7 of these numbers , all beginning with the exchange of "855"  There are many variations.  Have been keeping a record of the full numbers.  I don't answer the calls

Having the same experiences as those above except I will not answer any calls from "unknown" or unrecognizable numbers.  Very annoying.  Getting calls from three different numbers lately.

Well, scammers or not, they are certainly fools for trying to get an illiterate to write anything!

A woman says she is calling for childrens autism disorder foundation.  Wanted me to
send out 15 lettters to neighbors asking for donations.  I  dought this is a legetimet
organization since they are not showing there caller id.

The number seems to belong to Ohio based Autism Spectrum Disorder Foundation a charitable organization that spends all collected funds on other than persons with Autism. Another charitable scam.

Unkown Caller keeps calling, leavng no message. Hangs up prior to going to voicemail - Caller ID states UNAVAILABLE. No info available on reverse phone lookup services. Tried calling back to this number, call does not go through, phone company message states that call cannot be completed since this phone number is on HOLD and not yet Activated. Perplexing how a number that is on HOLD and not yet Activated is making outgoing calls repeatedly. I have received several calls from this number and wish NOT to receive any more calls from this number or whoever is behind these calls.

Get calls daily from this number.  Can not find out who this is calling .  Very annoying.  I never answer calls from some unknown person or numbers not listed on my caller id.
