I just received a call from a Robert Lewis supposedly he sounds like a guy from India who was trying so hard to sound like he was from England. I didn't answer but he left a message saying that my retained attorney or myself need to give him a call back @ 18558066643 and If he doesn't hear from me then he wishes me luck!!

The question I have for anyone who can answer this IF THEY HAVE MY BANK INFO AND SS # IS THERE ANY WAY THEY CAN GET INTO MY ACCOUNT FOR MONEY OR USE MY SS# IN ANYWAY? This situation is really starting to piss me off because a couple months ago I had the same issue but reported it to the local cops and that company stopped calling!! Last year around XMAS same thing happened got a call from a guy name Kevin and claimed that there was a warrent out for my arrest. And If I didn't get a prepaid visa card from walmart in about a half hour he would send the cops to my house.

When does this end?????? Dumb scammers leave me alone I barely have enough to keep a roof over my families head.....

Also, does anyone recommend me contacting my bank for a heads up or even changing my account info??? Please help me figure out what to do......

Got a call from a "robert lewis" saying that if I or my attorney didn't give him a call back all he can do was wish me best of luck as the situation unfolded on me he has been doing the same thing for the last year I believe but always from different numbers and NOTHING has happened claims to be from a lawyer division

I received the same message.  Only difference was he said his name was Robert Lewis.

Got call that I picked up, Indian sounding accent man went through the whole bullsh=t scam about a supposed payday loan that I have defaulted on and they will be sending the police to arrest me at my place of work. I let him go through his spiel and then started asking questions about this supposed loan. Could not give me any actual info. I then told him I thought what he was doing was deplorable, trying to scam people like me on SSDI, who is barely surviving as it is. Told him I would be reporting this phone number and him and hung up. He actually tried to call me back with several different numbers over the next few minutes: 855-826-7861, 866-921-9717. These numbers all seem to be from same scammers.

DO NOT EVER PUT YOUR INFO ON INTERNET FOR PAYDAY OR SHORT TERM LOAN. EVEN IF YOU DO NOT GET A LOAN, THESE SCAMMERS USE YOUR INFORMATION TO TERRORIZE YOU.
IF YOU NEED CASH, GO TO A LOCAL BUSINESS IN YOUR AREA, DEAL WITH THEM FACE TO FACE!

Did you sign up for a loan online? Never sign up for loans on unknown websites that claim to offer payday loans. They are all fake websites run by extortionists. Never ever give your SS number or bank account numbers to strangers.

GOT A CALL AT WORK AND CALLED THE GENTLE MAN BACK A MR.RON ADAMS. HE WAS INDIAN SOUNDING. AND HE COULDNT GIVE ME WHO WAS SUING ME BUT HE HAD MY BANK INFO. AND SOCIAL NUMBER

Got a message from a guy named Robert Lewis who sounded like he was from India and was trying really hard to disguise his accent.  He left a toll free number of 855-806-6643 and that either I or my attorney of record need to return the call. If I didnt then he could only wish me good luck. When I returned the call, it was to discount cruises and no one by the name of Robert Lewis worked there.

A woman named Angel Williams called from Rex Lawfirm stating that she was calling regarding a lawsuit filed against me. She requested to have my lawyer contact her at 855.806.6643, when I attempted to call that number I received a message saying sorry for the inconvenience and then the call ended. This is the same number the woman called me from.

During our phone called the woman sounded like she was Indian. I was not able to find any information regarding Rex Lawfirm, but there is  supposedly a criminal extortion scam occurring out of India. I have included a link below regarding this matter.

got a call from an "unknown" number and they left a message, when i checked it the guy sounded like he was from India stating his name was Kevin and myself or my attorney of record needed to give him a call as soon as i recieved this message. The number he left was 855-806-6643 He did not say who he was calling for in the first place. He said if he didnt hear from either of us then all he could do is wish me luck as the situation unfolded before me. People need to get a life and quit trying to scam others!!!

This is a criminal extortion scam operating out of India. They are making the calls utilizing VOIP and the names of legitimate firms to make it appear the calls are originating from within the US. There is NO "company" or "debt" and you will NOT be arrested. They are harvesting and/or buying consumers' personal identifying information from unscrupulous websites like the one you may have filled out an application with, and you need to do whatever you can to protect yourself. This includes: Notifying the FTC: https://www.ftccomplaintassistant.gov/, placing fraud alerts with all three credit bureaus, notifying your bank and employer and letting these criminals know you are aware they are attempting to extort money for a non-existent debt and have alerted the authorities.

I received a call from work and its sounds like a debt collector. They are calling from 210.249.0540 but leaving a call back number of 855.806.6643. Some India guy saying his name is Kevin (yeah right) he said to have a attorney or the person he is looking for to call him back today and that if he doesn't hear from them then good luck. Lol..
