Wow, you are a nasty little shill aren't you?   Let me address a few point in your incoherent diatrible

>>> YOU HAVE EXHAUSTED ALL YOUR AVENUES FOR GETTING MONEY BECAUSE YOU SCAMMED YOUR WAY THRU LIFE AND DIDNT PAY YOUR DEBTS
Can you provide any specific evidence that anyone in this thread has done that?

>>> WHY DONT YOU GET AN EDUCATION GET OFF YOUR A** AND GET A JOB AND PAY YOUR ^(&*)*&*()
Look, from your post it is clear that you are a functional illiterate.  Who on earth are you to tell anyone to get an education?  Also, can you prove anyone here does not have a job?

>>>>THESE COMPANIES ARENT SCAMMERS THEY HAVE TO USE THESE TACTICS BECAUSE YOUR EITHER A DEADBEAT OR GONNA END UP IN JAIL
Wow, can you prove anyone in this thread doesn't pay their bills?  Also, why on earth could they ever end up in jail, debt is a civil matter, not a criminal matter.  Also, are you suggesting that companies have to violate the FDCPA?

The Federal Trade Commission (FTC), the nation's consumer protection agency, is warning consumers to be on the alert for scam artists posing as debt collectors. It may be hard to tell the difference between a legitimate debt collector and a fake one. Sometimes a fake collector may even have some of your personal information, like a bank account number. A caller may be a fake debt collector if he:

?is seeking payment on a debt for a loan you do not recognize;
?refuses to give you a mailing address or phone number;
?asks you for personal financial or sensitive information; or
?exerts high pressure to try to scare you into paying, such as threatening to have you arrested or to report you to a law enforcement agency.

If you think that a caller may be a fake debt collector:

?Ask the caller for his name, company, street address, and telephone number. Tell the caller that you refuse to discuss any debt until you get a written "validation notice." The notice must include the amount of the debt, the name of the creditor you owe, and your rights under the federal Fair Debt Collection Practices Act.
If a caller refuses to give you all of this information, do not pay! Paying a fake debt collector will not always make them go away. They may make up another debt to try to get more money from you.?Stop speaking with the caller. If you have the caller's address, send a letter demanding that the caller stop contacting you, and keep a copy for your files. By law, real debt collectors must stop calling you if you ask them to in writing.
?Do not give the caller personal financial or other sensitive information. Never give out or confirm personal financial or other sensitive information like your bank account, credit card, or Social Security number unless you know whom you're dealing with. Scam artists, like fake debt collectors, can use your information to commit identity theft ? charging your existing credit cards, opening new credit card, checking, or savings accounts, writing fraudulent checks, or taking out loans in your name.
?Contact your creditor. If the debt is legitimate ? but you think the collector may not be ? contact your creditor about the calls. Share the information you have about the suspicious calls and find out who, if anyone, the creditor has authorized to collect the debt.
?Report the call. Contact the FTC and your state Attorney General's office with information about suspicious callers. Many states have their own debt collection laws in addition to the federal FDCPA. Your Attorney General's office can help you determine your rights under your state's law.

I have received several calls from this number stating they are going to sue me, freeze my assets and my bank account. They've given me a docket number and I've called the court house and there is no such docket or papers that are being served on me. They also said I am defrauding a lending company! They've made several threatening calls. Is there anything I can do?

They have been calling me also. It's a fraud, they are illegal.  I called my phone company's fraud department and they changed my number for free.

No, sorry, but it is "HIS problem". If he calls again, let him know he is violating TCPA and FDCPA laws by intentionally harassing a non-debtor and you will take legal action if the calls do not stop.

Received a call from this phone number stating they were looking for a Claretha Williams regarding a lawsuit. I called back today to let them know that no one by that name lived at this phone #, the guy continuously interrupted me, told me the phone # and address that Claretha had her information as, which of course was my phone # and address. He told me I was a whack job, I was wasting his time and I needed to take it up with Claretha. I asked him how I was supposed to take it up with someone I didn't know, he said it wasn't his problem.

No one calls ahead of time to say you'll be served - only scammers and very shady debt collectors do this.  If a legitimate, law abiding company was going to sue you, you would already have received dunning letters for the debt in the mail - giving you the opportunity to tell them to send a debt validation letter proving you do owe the debt to them.  If you didn't respond to these letters, a court process server would then show up - unannounced - and hand you a court summons (sometimes these papers are mailed certified or registered mail instead).

Report the call to the FTC, the FBI and your state's Attorney General.  If you're really worried about this, call your local courts and ask if there's a docket number/court date pertaining to you.

Bottom line - never pay any caller money unless they have mailed (not emailed of faxed) documentation proving you owe a debt and that they can collect said debt in your state - per the FDCPA.

It is a scam and very unlikely that any snake will crawl out of their hole and chance exposing themselves.  Do not talk to these people any more.  Don't answer their calls or answer, then hang up immediately.
You won't see any summons.  Just more telephone threats.  Their Big mouth is their most effective weapon.
Cut off their lips and they will move on.

Termination without cause is illegal and reason for a law suit.  If you have not already done so,  you should have a discussion with your manager or supervisor explaining the details of what is happening and that it is beyond your control to stop.  Consider providing her/him a letter confirming your situation. This will bring your employer on to your side.  Make a report to the local authorities,  for back up confirmation should it become necessary to take any type of legal action.  I have never heard of anyone getting fired over such an obvious attempt to extort money by what is usually a slime ball person in a boiler room call center in southern asia.

We received a message that we had been named in a civil suit by Ada County, and could have the charges dropped if we settled within 72 hours, by calling this number, extension 220.  They rattled off part of a SS#, and the message cut in and out.
