After applying to numerous websites on different jobs - it is unbelievable how many calls and emails I am receiving saying that I requested or signed up for something. I know better! I started receiving text messages on my cell phone which is a pay by minute phone with no free text. The first text came directly from 855-843-5241 and offered at the bottom to Text STOP to Cancel. The second came in from 702-824-1728 "We wish to thank you call 855-843-5241 for your 100 dollar gift card" then it also provided to "Text STOP to unsub". These government phones don't show who is texting you so it charges the one minute just to open the message then a minute to send a message.... so with these 2 Texts, I have now lost 4 minutes off the phone. And apparently Texting STOP doesn't stop them from just using a different number to call you with!

THEY WANT  4.94 TO SEND ME A GIFT CARD  I THOUGHT THAT SHOULD BE THE PRICE OF A STAMP? HAS ANY ONE TRIED GET THEIR CARD

How can I report these people. I received it too, and not knowing any difference called them back and they charged me. And they gave me a number to call to unsubscribe to them, but all I get is a recording that says I will be added to their call back list, and will receive a call within 24 hours. I have called like 5 times. And every time "all agents are busy"

This is BS and should not be allowed. Do Not Call Back!

I just received a text to thank me with a $100 gift card. I treid to call back on a land line and got the message that my call could not be completed as dialed.

I called the number on the text 855-843-9868 and played their game to get some information.  They are located in Thames, in the UK.  They offer $100 walmart of Target giftcard and a $120 fuel discount all you have to do is cover the $4.95 shipping and handling fee.  What a scam to get credit card info.....Don't fall for it guys.  Report this number immediately!!!!!

I got a text messages . I called but when I asked about company information etc they hung up. Looks as scam! phone # used 260-580-1889 and 855-843-5241

THIS IS A SCAM. This is a version of the advance-fee-for-something scam where something is a grant, loan, lottery winnings, interest rate reduction, tax reduction, gift card, refund, doggie, cruise, vacation, free gas, etc., and the advance-fee is for tax, shipping, registration, insurance, secure handling, processing, etc. They may send you a fake check, may want your credit/debit card or bank account number, or tell you to wire cash via Western Union, Moneygram, etc. They can put recurrent difficult-to-cancel monthly charges or a 1-time charge on your card or bank account, and sell account info to other criminals and you'll have to replace accounts altogether. Wired-cash is irretrievable - once it's picked up at the other end, it's untraceable and gone. If they want you to call them up for instructions, they may tell you not to discuss the wire with Western Union desk clerks but the real reason is WU clerks are familiar with these scams and will warn you not to wire the money. just received text from a 720 (Denver) area code to call this #.  Texted stop.  How can they do this if the # is on the no call list?

I just got the same text I think it was from filling out a free IPAD offer..I guess we won't be doing that again.

I got the same message as the last person (Barbara Witte); however, I did not respond.  To me, that just confirms to them that they have a valid phone number for further marketing.  They are obviously phishing, so don't respond to them at all.  Just delete the message.  The actual number from which the text was sent looks like (732) 824-9868.  732 is North New Jersey.

Then entered a gift card code.

They asked for a name, and a credit/debit card. i said i have nothing on my card atm but would but the 4.95 shipping and id put it on a prepaid card, they dont accept prepaid cards apparently. i know this is a scam but wanted to play along with it

Got a text from them as well. Just texted back with "stop" and it has ended so far.
