I got a call saying this call is from Lovelace Hospital recorder and asked me if I was Mr. So and so and then wanted to know my date of birth. I told her not to call me anymore and ask a silly question and do not record without my permission and hung up. If the caller does not know my DOB then it is a scam or dirty way of threatening. To me this seems like a scam. Hang up and don't give out any details.

I've never received any services from the medial group this caller claimed to represent. Just another fake debt collection scam.

I keep getting a call from a "Maria Santiago" saying that I owe an educational institution and she says shes calling from a law firm. She has gone as far as calling my parents house. This is most certainly a scam.......just cant believe how far she has gone.

People....listen up. If you have no knowledge of any bills (and you would know if you had medical or hospital bills) you are probably being scammed. Anyone can spoof a caller ID and say Lovelace hospital.
Call them and find out. If you owe it, pay it...However, all hospitals and insurance companies, will send you a bill in the mail to collect before calling you. The Telephone calls come after you have not responded to the letter of collections. I would be very skeptical of this caller and would not pay a dime until I had full written validation of the debt and their right to claim and collect. The Hospital or medical facility would be the place to begin your own investigation. Don't pay Nothing until you are absolutely certain that it is a legitimate bill and collection attempt. Scammers are everywhere...

If she says that she owes no debts to here knowledge, I don't think I would just pay anyone over the phone.
I would call the Hospital, NOT THE 1-855 number. The person who called, and that number would be the last one to call. If she owes nothing, then they agent claiming the debt needs to send her written validation of the debt.

Call your local hospital, tell them about the call, and ask.
