My family members received a call from these boneheads (ACS Services).  It caused great concern with my dad who continues to recover from a stroke.  They mentioned check fraud, state process servicer, 3 hours to call, etc., the whole nonsense.    I had my lawyer call  as she let me listen in on the call.  She asked for a physical address and was put on hold twice.  No one came back to the phone.  She called again asking for a physical address.  They said they needed a case number.  She gave them the number they left on my mom's phone.   They then asked for the last 4 digits of my SSN.  We gave them phony digits and they still claimed I owed $400 for a payday loan from 2009.  I have never HAD a payday loan in 2009.  The lawyer again asked for an address.  They said they have an e-mail address.   The lawyer said she needed a physical address because they are a collection agency.  The "agent" started to get testy and stated they were not even though the lawyer countered their recorded message upon calling.   The lawyer heard all she needed to hear.   We have filed a complaint with the FTC and MD Dept of Financial Regulation.

Yeah got one from "Keith Sellars" as well. Told him not to call me at work again and he immediately called the receptionist back and tried to convince HER that it was real and that she needed to convince me to call back before they "embarrassed me" at work. Too late, pal. Thankfully everyone here is aware of these scammers at this point.

Simple question: Why would I need to contact some unidentified attorney's office in regards to a criminal charge? If I broke the law, then these "local authorities" you speak of are the only ones I should be speaking to. Asking me for money to avoid prosecution is called blackmail.

This Keith person just called me as well and said to call this number (1-855-872-7513) back and reference a certain case number.  He said he was actually calling for someone of a different name and gender in reference to fraud against a financial institution or something.  I am in NM so I'm not sure how someone can be a state process server for several states?  (Since Rosa referenced NY.)  The information given about this other person was pretty detailed and they said they would summon me as well.

Same exact message but it was a different person name! She called my mother and husband phone but never mines!!! It also sound as if the person was chewing gum and talking at the same time, but never said attorney general just attorney!!! I'm not giving them the satisfaction of even calling back! I'm sure I owe no one anything! Scam for sure if you ask me and if it helps I live in ohio.

ACS - collection agency using unfair and illlegal debt practices to scam you into paying a payday loan that you may or may not have had.  In my case, they called my sisters out state, told them that they were from the attorney general's office and that I had 2 hours to call back or the "process server" would show up within two hours to haul me off to jail!  My sisters are sickly and elderly women!  They also threaten that they would garnish my check.  I called this number back at 855-872-7513 and I asked the lady for her address, she would not give it to me.  She ask me for my case # and I ask her who was a Keith Sellars, she claim he was a local process server.  I asked her for his number and she claim that she did not know it. I called the Attorney General's office in Buffalo NY.  Please file a complaint with their office.  These people are not using legitimate debt practices to collect a debt!.  They can not and are not authorize to scare your family or discuss your business with family members.  The attorney general's office stress, the more complaints they get on these people the better chance they have of putting them out of business or bringing charges against them!  My one sister, who is 63 understands about consumer fraud, but the other one, who is 73 does not know any better.

They are scammers.  It doesn't make any difference whether they call themselves a collections agency or not,  when you violate the laws as they are doing,  they are Scammers.  Tell Lisa Londell to go to Hell.

Just got a call from that 855-872-7513.  Apparently a state process server for New York named Lisa Londell said I was being charged with fraud and had 2 hours to call back before the authorities came to my home or work to serve me and hauled me into court.  They also called a friend of mine looking for me, apparently they told her I committed "insurance fraud", she tried to call them back but said both times she got a busy signal.

no one named "Zena" lives at the number above.   This  person (agent Rachel) keeps calling my number leaving threating messages for some one DOES NOT live at the number above.   I have left several messages on their answering machine informing them of same.  Now, when I return the call I receive a message stating that their mailbox is full and cannot take message.  This is the final notice.  If she calls my number again I will get my local law enforcement involve.

got a message told me they were a process server and were coming to my home and work with the authorities and I would have charges pressed against me.  Left this message on my WORK phone vm.  Totally illegal to leave such a detailed message on a unsecured phone line.  Especially since I have no idea what they are talking about.  I got a call like this a few weeks back called the number and would not give me any information without my social security number which I will not give out as I have been frauded in the past but they left a detailed message on my work VM.  Seriously unethical and harrassing!
