JMR Associates called and left me a message that there was pending litigation against me for fraudulent check.  I called them back and they indicated that my now husband had taken a pay day loan 4 years ago and it was never paid back (it was), and that they are pressing charges of defrauding a bank against him unless we paid the $700+.  I unfortunately didn't have all my wits about me and authorized a $100 payment and then the balance for a week later.  They got the $100 (which I am disputing) but I cancelled my card to prevent the balance from being taken.  Oh I should have known better.  Beware!!!

They left me a voicemail yesterday stating my casr number saying they were going to file a lawsuit against me if I did not call them back. I called them out of fear they stated that I owed money from 2011 to a payday advance place which I did agree to they said they were suing for 4 grand. They said theu could settle for 500 thought it all sounded legit it put dowb 250 but looking into more realize it is a scam and am now out money have stopped all future payments from this company. Wish I would have came here first.  Hope this helps others to not get scammed

I have the same thing payday loans now im out 250 from the rudest unprofessional ppl ever I have to change my account # and block their phone calls so pissed I asked for reciepts they say ill send u one and I never recieve one email or mail I think if someone was suing me they would send me a letter in mail saying handle this or be sued I never recieved that

This alleged company has been calling my family and job for weeks now. When I contacted them today I was connected to a fast talking man named John. He would not immediately answer my questions as to what was this in regard to. He finally stated that I owed a payday advance company money from 5 years ago. He threatened to have my tax refunds garnished. He keeps mentioning lawsuits and attorneys but he does not have any valid case or suit numbers. He states that if he "has to take action" that I will be assessed the sum of $4,596.00 but if I pay them today they can knock it all the way down to $1000.00. They attempted to gain my debit card number so that they could set up payment arrangements. When I refused to give that out without proof of who they were or what their company was I received an email with a  Microsoft Word document that any second grade child could have manufactured.
I contacted the payday advance company which they allege that they represent and I was told that they do not.

John cipher called my job threatening to garnish wages, arrest me, irs to take my refund because I owe the $4,000. But I could givecthem 334.two times. But they must have a visa or debit card to secure the funds. When I informed him thst I do not give out may card number to anyone he hung up

These people are fraudently trying to scam people out of money and they need to be stopped!!!

"Mr. Bell" is the only one you can speak to who used to scam through a company called NCW Billing.  JMR and Associates took money out of my account but no one on staff, besides Mr. Bell, can find any information on me.  They cannot provide paperwork to back up this "debt" which is initally a fruadulant debt in the first place from my identity being stolen.  Mr. Bell's cell phone number is: [removed].  His voicemail is always full but randomly you can get him to rudely call back.  I informed him to refund this money as I'm pursuing fraud through my bank right now.  NCW Billing, who Mr. Bell used to work for and used the name "Mr. Jackson."  This is a huge scam!!  Good luck.

I have gotten calls at 6:15 AM and 7:01 am.     They are threatening legal action on my 85 year old mother.  Shame Shame you guys

During the past several weeks I have received multiple phone messages supposedly from JMR & Associates.  The callers have left call back numbers of (855) 875-8004 and (855) 997-4747.  The messages they leave me vary.  The messages garble the name of some company (??? Modular), some state that I am a reference and some say they have my name and social security number.  Nonsense!  I did call back on a Sunday evening just to see if it was a business that wouldn't be open on a Sunday.  The call was answered by a recording that asked for a message and phone number.  I did neither.  Although I have had my phone number for over 15 years, I may change it!  These thieves need to be stopped!  Thanks to the information on this site I will never talk to them.

i was receiving calls from people claiming to be calling from JMR & Asscociates. They claimed i had an old
payday loan that was never paid. I did use to have some payday loans, but they were paid . Anyway they repeatedly called me , threatened me, and even said they were going to garnish my wages. They caught  me at a low point and out of fear I paid them the 300.00 payment. Then when I asked for a receipt, they are still giving me the run around. I am so pissed! I am also out 300.00. I should have checked them out more at the time. I just called the number today to get a receipt and the guy freaked out asking me how I got his number, cause it is his private line. Like I give a s***. I either want my money back or a real receipt showing I paid them. What a scam.. will never let that happen again.

I just got called by these crooks.  Saying I had fraudulent checks from a bank account in 2011.  I wasn't even in that bank in 2011.  They said they were sending my court papers but that I could settle over the phone.  Told them I don't settle debts (if i had any) over the phone.  Send me the court papers and I'll settle this matter there.  The lady(Bernice) gave me a number with an extension to her if I need to get hold of her, but a "Higher Up" by the name of "Bell" is going to call me this week.  Then she gave me a fax number to there if there's any documents I need to send.  The fax number area code was different than the number she gave me to caller back at.  Another scam in the works.  Told her I'll just wait until the court papers.  She got off the phone pretty quick.

Quite the scam of a "business". I've got multiple calls from them asking to speak with someone I knew in college. After telling them I'm not that person they say that I was named as a reference.

If I'm a reference why are you calling my phone asking for that person?

On one occasion I got a blocked number call from them and the rep refused to tell me what the company was about or why I was involved beyond being a reference. A call back to their own office led me to the most shady person who still refused and even got mad about me asking what their deal was.

This company keeps calling me for some other guy debt. So when I call to have my number taken out of their
System the guy I got was rude from the beginning.This is what he said to me are you asking me or telling
me. I was taken aback. Because all I needed was my number taken out. I wasn't rude or anything. But this guy was a total DICK. I don't know if my number is in or out. Fingers crossed.

They called my number and said they are looking for me.   "Mr. Jackson" left a garbled message about a bad check, the local court system, and avoiding jail by calling him back.  When I called back they said someone left my name as a reference (that's an old line) and kept asking me about that other person after I told them I knew nothing about him.  Told them don't call back.

This "company" called JMR and Associates has been calling me several times per week in reference to a friend of mine who they claim put me down as a reference.  My friend called to find out what the deal was and they wouldn't give him any information unless he gave them his social security number..... He told them he would NOT give them his SS over the phone and if they had any issues they could send him information in the mail.  They are still calling me!!  I finally told them that if I hear from them again I would take legal action for harassment.  I am also going to call my local better business bureau and turn in a complaint.  This sounds like a major scam to me!!!!

This number called me looking for my sister... who I have not had contact with in years.  Says she put me down as a reference and have called 3 times this week.  REMOVE me from your list already!  I have told you twice that I don't know where she is and live in an entirely different CITY than her...  Sorry she screwed you but that is NMP! (not my problem)

presumably a scam.  could be a collection agency.  but I've had this ph # for 8 years & have no debts. they call once a week for several weeks.
