I have been receiving numerous calls from an agency called Lombardi & O'Connor about a dead beat man who was related to my ex husband.  I have been divorced for 17 years and have no idea where this person they are calling (Walter Goetz) about is.  I'm not sure why they are looking for him.  They are now stalking my daughter as well.  I have gotten calls at home, on my cell phone and my daughter's cell phone.  The person who called my daughter, after no receiving information, asked her for her phone number personally "because she sounded like a beautiful girl".  My daughter is frightened and is 20 years old and I am furious.  I am sick of receiving calls from an unknown number, from 716-803-6839 nand 855-420-8313.  Do you know a way that I can report this to a law enforcement agency?

New number called from is 855-420-8313. Shows up Unknown & have filling up my Caller ID for 2 weeks BUT I was home today & answered. "Allegedly" inquiring about my sister. Told them to remove my number & confirmed her number. They left their number witha "Docket #" & I said I would relay msg, but remove my number! Was apologetic but then called my mobile, then called my job! My sister them. They would not give her information on "issue" instead asking her personal info (which they should already have, right?). They yelled at herto "zip her lip & to take care of her rresponsibility"! Still didn't tell her! Also called our mother! When I called back & told them to not call another one of my damn numbers, this "professional" place start going on with me that I ought to tell my sister to take care if her responsibility. I told them that she called & that shetried and I told HIM to zip his damn lip" & told him that I've never experienced a professional place going on about someone else's business. This guy got so upset that I wasn't listening that he got so upset & acting so "street" that I told him again to delete my damn numbers & I hung up!

The Federal Trade Commission (FTC), the nation's consumer protection agency, is warning consumers to be on the alert for scam artists posing as debt collectors. It may be hard to tell the difference between a legitimate debt collector and a fake one. Sometimes a fake collector may even have some of your personal information, like a bank account number. A caller may be a fake debt collector if he:

?is seeking payment on a debt for a loan you do not recognize;
?refuses to give you a mailing address or phone number;
?asks you for personal financial or sensitive information; or
?exerts high pressure to try to scare you into paying, such as threatening to have you arrested or to report you to a law enforcement agency.

If you think that a caller may be a fake debt collector:

?Ask the caller for his name, company, street address, and telephone number. Tell the caller that you refuse to discuss any debt until you get a written "validation notice." The notice must include the amount of the debt, the name of the creditor you owe, and your rights under the federal Fair Debt Collection Practices Act.
If a caller refuses to give you all of this information, do not pay! Paying a fake debt collector will not always make them go away. They may make up another debt to try to get more money from you.?Stop speaking with the caller. If you have the caller's address, send a letter demanding that the caller stop contacting you, and keep a copy for your files. By law, real debt collectors must stop calling you if you ask them to in writing.
?Do not give the caller personal financial or other sensitive information. Never give out or confirm personal financial or other sensitive information like your bank account, credit card, or Social Security number unless you know whom you're dealing with. Scam artists, like fake debt collectors, can use your information to commit identity theft ? charging your existing credit cards, opening new credit card, checking, or savings accounts, writing fraudulent checks, or taking out loans in your name.
?Contact your creditor. If the debt is legitimate ? but you think the collector may not be ? contact your creditor about the calls. Share the information you have about the suspicious calls and find out who, if anyone, the creditor has authorized to collect the debt.
?Report the call. Contact the FTC and your state Attorney General's office with information about suspicious callers. Many states have their own debt collection laws in addition to the federal FDCPA. Your Attorney General's office can help you determine your rights under your state's law.

I have been receiving threatening voice messages from Lombardi & O'Connor.  When I called to see why I was being threaten with being served at my home or place of employment they would give me any information.  They wanted me to give them/verify my personal information.  These people are calling and harassing me on a daily basis which is so nerve racking.  I have asked them to stop calling and they just wont stop.  I am reporting them to the Attorney General today.

I have received 3 calls from this company saying they gonna serve me at my home or at my place of employment... This place is a scam I talked to a guy named Brian O'Connor and he claimed i took out a loan that was still owed I paid it when I was suppose to. Then he said he was going to take me to court and blah blah blah. That company is FRAUD and seriously need to get a life. Then I asked what the Address was and he refused to give it to me. Then I called AG and they directed me to exactly where they are. BUFFALO NY. So i inform anyone getting phones from this company should call the buffalo AG. Their phone number is 716-853-8400. They know exactly who they are and is in the middle of an investigation. GET A LIFE PEOPLE!!!!!

I receuved a call at work from this 855-875-8006 # & they stated I owed them money & thry will be serving me legal documents within the next 24-48 hrs. They said call for more info or be ready to get served. If they come to my job my supervisor or manager must be present, like they can dictate that?! Also, if they come to my houde I have to show them two forms od ID, imagine that! Thing is I don't owe anything like they say I do. I welcome their crap, serve me, please! I'm going to sue you for every family member of mine you have been harassing, every time you called my job, my home and for every threat you laid out. By the way I have already reported to the FTC & Attorney General. My attorney is on speed dial, next call and I will be hitting that button. Maybe before the next call just to prove my point that you can't screw everyone! I fon't take threats or harassment lightly! Not going to put up with this crap! Watch out for these people, they try to get personal info about you from you, because they do not have it, they are phising!!7!

Just received the message saying that they will be at my house, and gave the county that I live in( since that is top secret information, yeah right) and said I will be served papers and to call them back if I want any more information or to reschedule. What a scam, people who serve papers do not call ahead. Oh, and if they come to my place of employment my manager or supervisor would have to be present to witness, so lets get this straight, when they come to my house, does my mom and dad have to be there to witness it too? I wish they would tell me such things since I no longer live at home, pay my bills, have a full time job, must be nice to get paid to do a job for a scam artist. I wonder if they only get paid if they scam people out of money, or if they have nothing better to do with their time! GET A REAL JOB!
