You can't be arrested for owing money at any rate. Its a civil matter, not criminal.  If he really was a paralegal, he'd know that,lol!

threatened me with federal wire fraud , that I received money and it was placed into my account and that now I am going to be arrested tomorrow at work . I do not even work on Sautrdays . He stated that he is a paralegal and that he has all the paperwork and that I am going to jail. I hung up and then he called right back.

Looks like the name has changed to John Hendrix but the game is the same.  I asked from the phone number told him my lawyer would call and hung up on them.  

You know it is a scam.  Even if you did owe money, you are not called to court a few days after the subpoena is delivered BY MAIL or by a server. Demand written proof of the debt (not an email or fax).

Have been getting calls from this number 1-856-210-2316 at my work and home!! Saying he is calling from Jersey Law Office and that I am a thief and I was going to get arrested tomorrow and have a subpoena delivered to my house. Telling me that I will have court on Tuesday. This idiot has my SSN, Address, Work # and Address, and knows everything about me.

This company is threatening to have us out in jail for a bogus claim. I called the authorities today and let them deal with thus scam.  Do not respond to them.

I got a call today from this number, saying I had taken out a loan and not paid it back, I said I hadn't, threatened to put me jail, for 585.00 and legal fees for up to 5,000, scared me to death, said it was my social, and my bank, went through statements, nothing ! to prove his point, if it was fraud on my part would have shown in my bank statement, right? didn't, so if he calls me again he will need a damn good lawer himself,

Yes, I too have received a call from this number.  Listened to the voice mail message left by a very Indian-sounding "Kathy Brooks".  So obviously a call center from the background noise, all btw, speaking in Indian accents.  She read her threatening script to me, same things the other posters have encountered.  My favorite was how I was going to be arrested at my place of employment.  Ok, I am disabled and haven't worked in four years.  She also said she had left other messages which I haven't responded to indicating to her I was trying to "run"!  Ha ha, not very professional!  She ended her struggling, broken-English message with something along the lines of "You will be in a big mess of legal trouble if you don't call me within two hours and if you don't, good luck to you.  So annoying, but entertaining at the same time.  I LOVE cb's way of handling it.  Think next time I get bored, I'm going to have a bit of fun with the "law firm" myself!

Guys calls.  I hear a foreign voice and immediately hang up.  He calls agains.  I don't answer.  One hour later I decide to call it back from the caller i.d.  I ask for Bob.  Just pretending a name to see who's calling me.  This guys says he is Bob.  ha ha.  Indian accent and he's Bob.  Yeah right.  He asks who this is.  I give him a fake name.  He's says ya that I have loans from online account for $300.  I say you have the wrong number.  He's say I will be pick up tomorrow unless I pay.  I then tell him I made up the name of Tom Brown I am not Tom Brown and then I call this a***ole every f****ng name in the book and tell him he is a f****ng scammer and I made up that name of Tom Brown.  Hang up immediately if you get a call from this number.  It is a scammer with a Indian accent.

i have recieved several calls from a number 856-210-2306, and it sounds like the same  fool everyone have encountered a conversation with. I told him if he calls again he will need a lawyer and a REAL one!

I have been getting calls from 856-210-2316 nonstop and a Jason Brown even called my work number and left a message with my boss telling her that this was an important legal matter and that it was very important that I call them ASAP. My boss gave me the message ans when I called the guy on the phone sounded like he was perhaps from India. I could barely understand what he was saying to me. I asked for the name of the business and he told me Law Firm and I then asked what was the name of the law firm and he told me South Jersey Law Firm. I asked the guys name and he told me his name was Steven McDonald. he told me that they had all kinds of proof of me trying to get loans fraudulently and that I was in some serious trouble. He asked me if I had a lawyer and then processed to tell me that I had better get one because I was going to be arrested at 11:00 tomorrow morning and that I would be spending 10 days in jail. I then told "Steve" that I would be calling the local police myself and that we would get to the bottom of this matter soon enough. The next thing I heard was a dial tone. I guess he did not like that at all.

Received a call from this number at my government work phone saying he was a paralegal for a law company in New Jersey.  Said his name was Steve Mcdonald and also had a very thick accent.  Told me that there had been several attempts to collect a debt from a loan company that had e-mailed me numerous times and that because I had failed to respond they were not taking legal action against me.  Further said that, I needed to get myself an attorney and that if I could not afford one, one would be appointed for me.  Said that all the information they had against me would be reported to my government employer and the state attorney general's office.  After asking for his information and what legal paperwork he had on me, he proceeded to fax me a fake certificate about legal action.  Told me in order to prevent further action, the law company would not accept debit or credit cards, cash only.  I needed to go to a gas station, walgreens etc and make a 870.35 payment to a green money pak?  After telling him, I was not sending any money, he told me I would be picked up the next day at 11 at my place of employment and he hung up.

Got a phone call from this number today.  The man presented himself as John Norton, yet he could barely speak plain English.....and his name was John Norton.....really????  He continued by leaving me a message that I should return the phone call immediately or I would regret it.  Sorry John, but I don't return phone calls to people who threaten me in a message!  Get a life!

This number calls me nonstop now is leaving threatening voicemails and saying they will call my work and home... How do I make them stop... Final called it back and he answers "law office" I say "what law office" and he says... "Um"
