And the most uncomfortable thing was that she first confirmed who I am by asking me "Am I speaking to < my full name >.
Can't do anything about it. I just wish world would be more simpler.

I for a call from this number. The lady identified herself as Donna. And outright she asked if this: "I am going to ask you some personal information. Is it all right with you?".
I asked why.
She answered: "So that you could be qualified for getting <blah blah> (forgot).
I answered: "Ofcourse I don't want to give out my personal info. Why would I give any stranger my personal information?"
Hang up.

These people call me 3 to 4 times a day.  I answered only one call.  They said they were with a debt collecting company.  Couldn't hear what they were saying due to all the background noise.  STOP Callling!!!

i keep getting calls from this number and its soo annoying! the thing is whenever i answer they hang up, when i dont answer they dont leave a vmail so i dont know who they are or what they want. my phone says SERVICEMSG. i wished they'd stop calling, or atleast tell me who they are and what they want! they just called me about a minute ago i picked up and right away yelled, 'STOP CALLING ME!!' lol.i dont think they'll stop cause i've been placed on their stupid 'do not call list' so many times and they still call! ugh!!

This call came in from 856-295-5636 and the caller id was weird!! It came in under V06141054120048! I never saw one like this before! I didn't nswer cause if I do not know a number I let teh machine pick it up. They hung up and didn't leave a message either!

That is interested and very disturbing! I will be contacting the Unemployment office ASAP and giving them a piece of my mind! That should be illegal!

Have received calls from this number several times, they never leave a message and if you call back their voicemail is very vague. It says to press 1 to be placed on their do not call list. Well, I've been on the National Do No Call List for a LONG time so they need to stop calling me. I didn't press 1 before that would just be confirming to them that they had a valid number and I don't want that either. Kind of a catch 22, isn't it? 856-295-5636

I have received many calls from this number.  I got 5 calls yesterday and 3 so far today and it is only 2:15.  These comments have helped a great deal.  I have tried many things to look this number up and have come to nothing until I found all your comments.  Thanks everyone.  I will keep rejecting the calls.

This 'reply' is a continuation of my above-post.  I just re-read Sue's post (the post above mine), and was surprised about how the local unemployment agencies divulge the personal phone numbers to the telemarketers.  SUE'S POST IS MOST LIKELY CORRECT, as I have been in contact with several unemployment / temp. agencies in the last month.  In trying to find a summer job (as a recent college graduate), I listed with 7 unemployment agencies, and always listed my cell phone as the primary contact number.  In addition to family, friends, co-workers, and these agencies, no one else knew my cell phone number.  I have now made an effort to contact all of the unemployment agencies, instructing them not to divulge my number, or other personal information.  I recommend anyone else in a similar situation perform the same action.

I think Sue is right. I had never received a call from this number until today. I filed foe unemployment earlier this week. Geez, as if I don't have enough to worry about. I was hoping it was a potential  employer.

I received a call from them around 10:30am today (June 10th).  The number came up as 'Restricted,' so that raised a red flag in my mind.  I then Googled the number, and was immediately directed to this site.  After reading several posts (mainly about how it's a telemarketer's number), I called the number back.  
The response immediately gave instructions about being added to a 'Do Not Call List,' so it would be safe to assume that the number was indeed from a telemarketer of some kind.

Guess what folks. You want to know where they are getting your phone number from.Your local unemployement office is selling your numbers to these telemarketers. I went to my office and told them not to give my personnel info out to ANYONE. If you want these calls to stop do the same.

Those of you receiving calls from this number about furthering your education with Smartestofall.com will find that the source of these call come from Virtel Marketing in Utah (according to the privacy policy on the Smartestofall.com website).  I don't know where they got my information but they are who you want to call if you are sick of receiving these calls and would like to curse someone out.

They've called a few times a day for the past few days. When I answer, they hang up. I called them and an automated service directed me on how to remove myself from their call list. We'll see if it works.

I'm got a call from this number, but didn't answer it because the name/number is unknown to me. Thank you all for posting your comments as I can see it is just a telemarketer that I don't want to talk to or want info from. These calls are coming to me from answering an online application for work about being interested in education, which I didn't realize they'd be calling my phone all the time about it. I've told them to stop calling me too the first time they called; it stopped for awhile and now is going again. Telemarketers need work too, but they should respect people's desires to not be called and taken off their call lists.

I got a call from this number on 6/6/11 and was told it's about my education.  The first question they asked was whether I was a U.S. Citizen.  I told them that I was not going to answer any personal questions unless I had a better idea of what this was about.  I was then asked if I was interested in furthering my education.  I said no and asked to be removed from the call list.  I called back the # a while later to see if I could find out what the company name was and a recording came up that said "Thank you for calling back.  If you'd like to be removed for our list, please dial 1."

This number called me about my education. I have had calls from them many times before and asked to be taken off the list. I got no calls for a while and then got a call today, 06/07/11 and told them to stop calling. The person was very rude and said it was her first time calling and so I let her continue. When she talked about the education thing again I interrupted her and said that these were the calls I got before and to stop calling me, but right in the middle of it, she hung up.

recieved a call from this number. did not leave message. I called back and a recorded voice message answered that if i wanted to opt out of future calls and promotions, to press one. I did. Let's see if that takes care of it.

Received a call from the above number.  Asked me if I had been diagnosed as being a diabetic.  I said no, and she said thank you and have a blessed day.  I would probably have a much better blessed day if these people would stop calling.  Surely, if you are on "the do not call list" these people have no right to call you.  I wonder what she would have said if I had replied that I was a diabetic.  Something to think about next time I get one of these calls - I think I will give that a try!!!
