This is the sixth time we've gotten a call from this number in less than a year. They called us in October, November, and December of last year, twice in April of this year, and today. The number has been blocked by our call blocker since the first call. The caller ID is always CHILDRENS CANCE. When I called back I heard a recording that it is the Children's Cancer Recovery Foundation. According to a review which I found online, http://www.tampabay.com/americas-worst-charities/, it is one of America's worst charities, with only 5.3% of the cash collected spent on direct cash aid. I highly recommend getting a call blocker to avoid these annoying calls.

got the same exact call.  Something about finally getting a chance to talk to me....you are harder to get to than a pickle in a pickle jar. Talked about the Children with Cancer etc...etc...I said O.K. I will donate...send me the information in the mail.  Wait!!! I will let you talk to ........and she will put your name on the 'no call' listing...when ......came on the phone she wanted to know how I would pay...debit card or credit card.  I said just mail me the information
and I will send a check...oh....but we accept debit or credit cards.   I said  'GOOD BYE'.....

Every time i get a call like this i get unstable and load my gun with bullets and get the urge to go into any telemarketer call center and start putting bullets into bodies. I think it will take a nut*** like me to do something like that to finally make the government stop these calls.

"Children's Cancer" on caller ID, but I didn't pick up. No message left; sounds like a fishy "charity" according to these comments.

I received a call from this number yesterday, 4/30/14, at 1716 hours.  I'm not sure I was talking with a real person because the pauses seemed odd.  When the voice mentioned "Children's Cancer..." I immediately knew what the call was about based on the information provided by this site so I snarled into the receiver, "I already know your f*%@%#@ scam!"  There was an odd pause again so I repeated it and disconnected.

Received ANOTHER call today from this #.  At least 2-3 calls a day.  I do not answer.  Very annoying!

This number called my phone today at 1331 hours.  As it had been entered into my call blocker previously, their call did not get through.  Even if they were a good, legitimate charity, I do not contribute over the phone so they're barking up the wrong tree.

You (and others) are in error.  The DNC has indeed cut down on a vast number of calls from legitimate, law-abiding companies.  However, no government can stop scammers and spammers and certain calls are exempt from the DNC list.  The DNC list is actually so effective that I automatically know that nearly every call I get on my private, DNC-listed phone is a scam artist, which is actually helpful because I'm mentally prepared before I answer the call.  In fact, I'm SO prepared that if the call turns out to be legitimate, I'm momentarily taken by surprise.

We got a call from this number again at 7:04 pm yesterday, 17 Apr 2014, a week since their last call. As I wrote previously, it has been blocked since last year. The caller ID hasn't changed: CHILDRENS CANCE. This alleged charity is persistent or perhaps they are just slow learners.

Calls all the time. Put them on block. Stop pushing your cancer. Why would I want cancer?

This is a professional fund raiser calling on behalf of a purported Children's Cancer Charity.  They asked if they could send an envelope along and if I could drop a few dollars into it and return it to them.  They said that it was to help children who have cancer. In looking at this charity on Charity Navigator it seems that only about 3% of proceeds actually go to fund charitable activities.  The rest goes to the professional fund raiser and overhead.  Be warned!

When I told the caller that I would not give to a "charity" that allocates so little for actual charitable causes she said that she understood and hung up.

Called me last week 8AM Eastern time when I was on vacation in California.  My cell phone is tied into my home line, so I was awakened at 5 AM California time.  Caller asked for "Timothy"; I said "wrong number" and caller persisted telling me about Children's Cancer Recovery.  I chewed her out, asked her not to call, and hung up.  They called again this afternoon at 4:30.  I have received numerous calls from this number, always pretending to look for "Timothy" which I think is a ruse.  Information from America's Worst Charities says they only give 0.6% in direct aid, with the average amount per child being a whopping $200.

I have received numerous calls from this number at 8:30 in the morning.  quite annoying and bad manners to call at that hour.How do I get these calls to stop. Frustrated and annoyed.

They called again yesterday, 27 Dec 2013, at 5:34 PM. The caller ID was the same, CHILDRENS CANCE. It was again blocked by our call blocker, which is well worth the cost to purchase.

Just received a call from this number, identifying themselves as 'Vanessa' from Children's cancer foundation' ---what charity organization calls Saturday night?  I never give to any organization that calls soliciting money, and I will be contacting the Attorney General's office on this scam..

This number called me at 4PM and then again 10 minutes later. Any of these telemarketers get blocked if they call me a second time. "Children's cancer" appeared on my caller ID.

The called us again today at 4:42 pm. The caller ID was CHILDRENS CANCE, and this time our call blocker blocked the call. When I called back I got the same recorded message that I had reached the Children's Cancer Recovery Foundation as I did when I called back 877-218-8360, which is also blocked. Apparently they use more than one number.

These bums are at it again. Found number on Caller ID shows about 2 pm. No message left.

We got a call from this number today when my wife was already on the phone We have blocked this number, but our call blocker doesn't work with call waiting. She answered but hung up when she learned who it was.

They have called us three times in the past two days.  Keep telling them we're a triage center and they clam to be children's cancer fund.
