Hang up the phone once I heard 'Hi, ba ba ba'.

Got a call from this number, when i answered i'm pretty sure it was a recording - saying I had won a prize and to press 1.  I hung up, it was really sketchy and i have no idea where they got my  number.

I just got a call from them. I didn't recognize the number, so I didn't bother answering, though.

I keep getting calls from them on my cell and my cell is virtually brand new and NO ONE has my number other than close family members and I never post it on my facebook or anything either so wtf?!

they called me during the day today and i live in Winnipeg. i didnt answer but when i called back there's music and then some lady comes on saying all the representatives are busy. my number isn't posted on facebook so i dont know where they got it from.

Just got one now, I didn't answer, and they didn't leave a message.

i just got this call as well on my cell in Mississauga! Glad i didn't pick up!!!! I didn't even know about this website. I got a call the other day from another American company which I'm thinking is the same sort of thing. They obviously didn't leave any messages.

i got a call from this number and i'm in toronto. i kind of forgot what happened. i guess i picked up and didn't hear anything. it was a while ago and i just found out about this website, so i forgot. anyway, now that i know this number is listed here, i know it's a scam and i won't call them back.

yeah, and we live in Canada what a do***e bag.

I just got a call on my cell as well, I'm on PEI. Picked up to dead silence then the call was ended.

I am curious - do any of you have your cell # listed on Facebook?  I have had my cell since August but only started getting calls after I listed my # on Facebook... might be where this company is harvesting their database of mobile phone #'s.

Been getting phone calls into my cell phone, now that I have registered my home phone no. into the don't call register.

I live in nova Scotia and just got a call 10 minutes ago, I didn't answer because I was on the phone and they didn't leave a message. I'm not calling them back though, after hearing all of this.

I also got a call from this mysterious company. They sound so sketchy, even Geist One's post about this phone number. scary....

I live in Nova Scotia.. they called my work cell yesterday and then my personal cell today.. Don't know where they are getting the numbers.. I just registered the personal cell a week ago.  Anyways didn't answer and glad now.

Hey. Those heavy mouthed people from +185 892 54502 called me, I picked and they kept quiet - I guess my ... must have tied the person's lips as should be. I called back and got straight to some music. Called again, someone picked- I gave them their own medicine by not saying a word.

I am in Alberta too, received call on my cell, from this number. when I picked up the call was lost. When I called back from my home phone, I was put on hold to music.

I too, just got a call saying i won some promotion and to press 1.

So here's the deal,

I called them back using Skype out (so they can't call me back or charge me some long distance fee).  They are a promotions company who claim to be located in Cancun Mexico.  One of the people I spoke to a couple of times was named Andrew. He had a british accent if you get him, everyone else sounds Mexican.

Anyway, they are offering a trip of 6 nights and 5 days in Cancun at a few resorts the 'own'.  And for signing up you get a free trip to Costa Rica. "But where's my initial prize?" I proclaimed.  Andrew hung up.  I called back.  Andrew answered again.  I pretended to not be me (so he would keep talking).  I can still go to Cancun.  Gotta get myself down there of course.  But they would give me a place to stay (6 nights 5 days *inclusive*  oooo!).  For a processing fee of $39.95.  "But wait!" I proclaim "You can't charge for a prize in Canada, that's illegal".  And then the phone went dead again.  I guess they're having technical difficulties in Cancun, because I've been calling them back for the last hour (I'm bored at home why not) and they won't answer.

Anyway if you want to claim your 'prize' you have to be at least 23 have a valid credit card, want to pay the fee, and a lot of faith in God that they will be there to pick you up at the airport.

Have fun.  I have a day off work tomorrow, and it's cold outside so I think I'll try convincing them to give me the prize in accordance with Canadian law tomorrow.  Since they did call Canada.  I hope they don't change numbers.  :(

Oh yeah I tried calling the cops about a possible fraud.  But's it's harder to contact them than the scammers. After the RCMP, and Toronto police telling me to call the next department, the OPP didn't answer, so I gave up.

I've just started getting these calls from someone who says my phone number has won something.  I know these are scams but the number of calls are getting to be one a day and sometimes two or three.  The other number was 805-904-4503 but the same messgae.  I have a pay as you go so every time I answer the phone I get dinged.

i was declared a winner also.  In canada if you are declared a winner but have to do something in order to get your prize that is called 'consideration' and is illegal.

additionally the guy on the phone was a prick and told ME that i was wasting HIS time... meanwhile the guy called ME!

total scam... and if i had more time and less important things to do in my life i would be hunting these a***oles down!

I just saw that I missed a call from 858-925-4502. The funny thing is that I just read in the Swedish news paper yesterday (Dec 16th -08) how people been getting phone calls from ?weird numbers?. The poor suckers who phone the number back pay something like 10 bucks a minuet...
