It is against the law if the person they are calling doesn't live there and its not their debt.  People have the right to live without harrassment from strangers.  You get what you deserve when you bother people for no reason.  Its easy to hind behind a phone.  Step  up in person and see what you get. Dont call the wrong persons number and you dont have to worr.

recieved call this am was told no associates available will have to call you back.

Automated message says its a remote answering service.

Just thought I would add to the list.  I've been getting computer generated calls each and every business day for no less than 4 months now.  I don't return the calls, just because I am stubborn and don't want to give them the satisfaction of knowing that their unscrupulous means are effective.  

There really should be a law to prevent computers from making calls to anyone for any reason.

This machine keeps calling me about 'personal' business but the robot doesn't respond to any of the buttons I press on my phone.  They keep dialing my cell phone. I called one of the numbers listed above and seem to have got to the right people, yet they can't find my name or phone number in their system. They didn't ask me for any more information than that, but said they would keep digging and get back to me if they could find something.

The man who answered the phone said it was for a collections agency, but he was very easy to work with and did not sound intimidating. He did ask for my name and phone number and promised to call me back if he ever finds me in their computer system..

yes they call me, they have my name and tell me this call is regarding important personal business. None of the prompts works then they say "please call back, again the number is" and no number is ever left. when calling 859 261 0000 the outgoing message is about about some remote access code. It worries me. Well it annoys me actually. I don't know what to do about it.

If this is a collection agency, I wish they would at least call the right people and leave the right number in their recorded message. The phone number in the recorded message is one of our office numbers. We have received several calls from people saying the recording told them to call this number.  

If you get a message asking you to call 800-599-8745, sorry but the message wasn't from us! Some incompetent boobs from a collection agency don't know how to use their annoying auto-dialer equipment.

Called asking lots of questions about someone who must have had my phone number previously.  Said her name wasa Sherry Estes from ACD American, but wouldn't tell me what ACD American is or does...  Got hostile, hung up, so did I.  Was fun - hope she calls back so I can tell her how awesome she is.

i've had 1 call from these losers on my cell they first ask for a home phone # i gave them the noe they already had then they ask for my s.s. num good one like i'm going to give that to some joker i don't know and they will not say who they are

This is ACB, not ACD and it is a collection agency. They left a message and wanted me to call them back at 800-470-8555. This is another number for the same collection company.

Some guy Joe keeps calling me.  I want to get mad & yell @ him, but he sounds so hot.  Anyway, if he calls again, I won't be able to control myself, I'll probably pay my balance in full.

I just thought I would add to this post for the benefit of other people who may have done a search on this phone number just as I have.  I am writing this on July 21, 2008.  Since about April, I receive a call every business day from a computer.  The message says something to the effect of "hello, I have an important message regarding important personal business for [my name]...".

I am almost certain this is the collection agency as noted by one of the other posts below.  I am almost certain they are trying to collect on a $30 medical debt incurred by my mother. Very simply, if a live voice would call me, I would explain to them that I've already addressed the issue in writing to the creditor explaining to them that they need to bill medicaid, not my mother or me.  

This practice is awful. Everyone knows that credit collections agencies are lower than whale turds, but in my opinion, nobody should be allowed to program a computer to do their harassing for them. There really needs to be a law.

I refuse to return the call because I won't allow them the satisfaction of knowing that their means are effective.  If anyone has any ideas on how I can make their life any more miserable, I'd welcome the advice.  Since they are calling my cell phone, I have written record of every single time they have called me.

I have a question when attempting to have a federal summons and complaint served. for vilations of fdcpa and mcpa ,i gave the court the scott ave address.   it was returned to the u. s. marahals office undeliverabla and
unforwardable which seemes odd as when I disputed the amount of the debt via letter i sent ups at that address, they signed for it. is the ohio address the proper place to serve them for the summons and complaint./

Ive been getting many calls from numbers I dont recognize... if I pick up there is just long silence... so I ang up I just have stopped answering these calls from numbers I dont know. Its annoying.
I actually had a collection agency call me... I was working out a payment plan then was sent to the acasemy and had no cell service to call and get things straightened out... I had at least 25 nasty messages from this guy I forget his name...but get this I was only at the academy for 3 days... the last message was scary... he then threatened to tell my parents and kept calling their house. I answered the phone and acted like I was my "twin sister" ha... and told them I knew what was going on and what they were doing was illegal. They didnt stop more people tried calling... then all of a sudden one day they stopped.
But seriously.... debt collection companies are scary people and will threaten you... they cannot tell family friends neighbors NO ONE... they cant even tell them you have a debt... all they can ask is if so and so lives there and a good number to reach them at...

This phone # called me in past week at least 2-3 time a day and they wont leave any massege or anything, one day i pick up pohne and it took at least 1 min for some on to start talking on other side she told me she will transfer me to some one who can help me i waited but no one was answering so i hung up. same minute i am geting call that i send to voice mail person by name Misti had very mean sound of voice told me that i have small personal matter with them wich i dont know about it i never had anythig from them coming to me in mail

I have no Idea why these jokers are calling me. Like claock work at 4pm. Sometimes twice a day. I never answer thephone, cause I am at work at that time. Tried calling back at the number they left me, was told by a robot that all associates are busy, and I should call back later. Like I have nothigh better to do then to track down some idiots that keep calling me.
