Some of you are pretty pathetic. If you run up a bill, you shouldn't gripe when someone expects you to pay it.  (And yes, they called me; they were polite; I explained my situation; as soon as I had the money I paid them.)

Got a call with a recorded message on my Cell Phone coming from 865-971-3810:  ?This is Shelly and I have an important message from Revenue Recovery Corporation?Call 800-221-5431 to get your message.?   They did not address who they are looking for.   We DO NOT ANSWER CALLS that we do not know who is calling?nor do we call back on general recorded messages that do not SPECIFY WHO THEY ARE LOOKING FOR.

I got a call from a guy named Chris, I called back and simply asked who called me from this number and I was told this is a business in knoxville Mam! I was like yes Chris I know your a business but what type of business. He wouldn't tell me and he hung up when I asked for a manager. I continued to call and i was hung up on each time! I will get in touch of his manager!! Who runs a business like that!

Got a call earlier today. Must not have heard my phone so they left a msg. Freaked me out because the msg just said Give me a call as soon as you get this msg. This is Jimmy I'll be here until 5. I racked my brain worried what it could be and of course it was after 5 . I got an answering machine which gives nothing away. They are getting very clever these wolves

I thik it is retarded when your insurance pays 10 x what the service was worth and then they come after you for more. It is a fact that all med providers have colected the amount they needed from the insurance but they have to charge so much to get the percintages where the insurance company will pay that amount. Then the there is a whole world of bottom feeders that are imployed to make money of the part you owe. The drs sell the bill for a fraction of what it is and the collecters collect what they can. The insurance companys insist this be done or they would have grounds to say they are paying to much. Funny how the sistem works.

We just got a call on my cell phone, from them, Revenue Recovery, and they were looking for a Earnest R. Pope.  No one here with that name.  The call was a recorded message.  When you call back they do not identify themselves, only that calls are taken in the order they are recieved.  I did this only to see what was on the other end, but hung up before anyone came on the line.

I then went online to the call sites that I have book marked,  and filed complaints.

NOTE:  What we do on the cell phones with any call that we do not have in the address book, is not answer the calls.  We then go online and check them out as to who the caller is.  If it is a legit call, we call them back.  If not we put in the cell phone for that number DO NOT ANSWER. so when any future calls from that place come in, we can see that it is a Do Not Answer Call, and just ignore it.

If any of these collection places conatact you, and do not identify themselves, threaten you, harrass you in any form and a many other such things, you need to tell them that tehy are in violation of the FDCPA, Fair Debt Collection Practices Act. and that you are going to file a lawsuit against them, and win a monetary awward.  All of this is spelled out in the FDCPA regulation, as to what they can or cannot do.  It makes no difference if you owe a debt or not.  You can beat these scumbag places using the law against them.  We have done this, as one of these places, even took us to court, but because we filled the proper papers with the court and fought them with the laws they were breaking, we won.  No one needs to put up with this kind of crap.  You can get information from the Federal Trade Commision, or get a copy of the FDCPA regualtion with the link below.

Just got a recorded message saying it was urgent to call an 800 number today.  No business name, no indication of who they were calling for.

Yes this is a bill collecter. Usually for medical bills.

The caller, Keith, asked for my husband by name.  Is this some type of debt collector or something??  My husband and I just married in November and he never uses my number.  How did they get it?

I researched the # they asked me to call back on the voicemail they had sent. It is the recall # for a Vornado heater unit.

Jackholes are calling me all the time too.  I am damn sure I told them more than once to not call anymore!
