The calling message claims Capital Management; then leaves message with a number to call back. The answering person begins to ask for SSN etc. I asked who are they collecting for? They claim PNC Bank. It's BS I don't owe them a dime. They are scammers PHISHING for your information. Any Bank collecting a debt from you already knows your SSN etc. Right?

Calls several times on my cell, leaves an automated message that it isn't a solicitation call, but doesn't leave the name of the company. When i try to call back to get more info to report it, the call doesn't go through.

Capital Asset Management, calling for an individual that I do not know and does not live at my phone number. Maybe they did once, but not for over a decade. I called them and first their switch board operator told me off then their manager told me to "ignore it and move on" and "relax," and when he didn't like my tone told someone to disconnect the call, so that apparently the call was being monitored. They've called at 8pm on Saturday nights, in the evenings, the mornings. They also left a recorded message saying that by listening to the message I was confirming I was the party they were looking for.
They buy very old, small debt, that the creditor has written off because it isn't worth it. They then try to collect. Pretty pathetic when you think of it as the creditor has written it off.
