This number calls my cell phone constantly and I am so sick of it. How do I prevent these calls.

 I HAVE RECIVED SO MANY CALLS FRM THIS NUMBER IN LAST 2 WEEKS. I ENQUIRED ABOUT THIS COMPANY ITS A LEGIMITATE COMPANY AND THE NUMBER IS REGISTERED. SO NOTHING TO WORRY ABOUT, ALL THE COMPLAINTS MENTIONED ABOVE ARE RUBBISH IGNORE ALL THOSE RUBBISH COMPAINTS AND TRUST THEM BCZ I HAVE VERIFIED THIS COMPANY FRM BUISSNESS BUERAU.

have gotten this call 3 times demanding I call them back

I got a call from the same number today and didn't answer it though.  Sounds like there a scam or a bunch of dirty collectors.  First there collecting from BMG then for columbia house, doesn't make sense?

We received a message on our answering machine as follows: Hello, this is Mrs. Parks calling from the Tahar (?) Group of Companies.  We require a return call at 1-866-202-1013 dealing with an important business matter that requires your immediate attention.  Our office can be reached between the business hours of 9 AM and 6 PM Eastern Standard Time.  We expect your return call immediately.  The number showed up on our caller ID as "Unavailable", 866-202-1013 and was received on 4/5/08 at 12:34 PM. There was a lot of background noise and static and we had to listen to the message three times to understand her message.  Our home phone and both cell phones are on the Do Not Call List.  We will be registering a complaint with them.

I just got a call from these guys for the first time today. I didn't answer but they left me a messege saying that there was an "important business matter that required my immediate attention". I called them back but a recording in chineese came on and said that the line was out of service

I was given this number to call back after being told I owed money to BMG. They tried to get me to give my Credit card number so I could get a confrimation number to confirm with BMG that I was in fact paid up.I hung up and just called the number and the recording said they were "closed for the day' and to leave a message. It is 11am EST on a Wednesday. Closed for the day????

I have only received 1 call from this number, I called it back but it said the line was no longer available. Then I called it back the next day and it said it was long distance or overseas.

When I got the message it was a bit odd, I didn't know what to think. I knew it sounded like big cats but what is the reason to send the message? It's freaky yes, but it doesn't make sense why someone would take their time to record it then send it to everyone.

If its some sort of collection agency they don't have a reason to bother me, I don't even have any credit cards or the sorts.

Im just glad these noises werent what I thought they were. I was close to an air force base and thought I had intersepted an alien message. Thank god I googled it cause I just listened to it one last time before bed, no doubt it would have kept me up all night.

They have been calling me for 3 days now.  I couldn't understand the 1st guy and he put another guy on that I could barely understand.  One said that Columbia House was collecting, and the other said that it was BMG.  I refused to pay without a bill, and he said that I was taking a chance with my credit, and they would accept a post-dated check.  I still refused, and he sent me an email of the bill.  It still wasn't a bill from BMG, who he said it was from. It was from Takhar, stating the bill was from BMG.  he attached an invoice with Takhar's "letterhead" and the name of the company was Columbia House.  Now they are calling from restricted lines (after showing 866-202-1013 the first time)on my cell phone, and I am trying to investigate.

Yes, I've been getting phone calls from this number as well and leaving long messages that sound like growling. One today at 2:11pm and one five days ago at 9:26am.

This can't be any legitimate call. From what I'm seeing on these other comments,they can't be lef8git.

I have been receiving calls from this number on both my home and cell phones, and it's getting rather annoying.  How do we make it stop?

The company is Takhar Collections. They apparently work for BMG however BMG is apparently unaware of the way they do their business. I registered my number on the do not call list so hopefully that will work.

I have been called several times by them asking for a Ashlin..they have been told several times wrong number and remove my # from there list but they keep calling today I asked "Nathen Jones" who had a heavy accent to talk to his supervisor his name was "Eric Black" same very heavy accent. he said my number was removed but I guess we'll see...he told me the name of the company was "TGC"........whatever...

I had to call this number several times. when they called me and it went to my voice mail it was a message of lions growling. I had to call this number back several times under star 67 and they kept hanging up on me. when I called from a phone that they didn't call me from they answered and didn't want to give me any information. and kept asking for my home phone number. only after I threatened to to call the fbi about them calling my phone and no identifing themselves did they tell me they we're from a company called tgc. when i asked if they we're a telemarketing they said no. I had to insist that I had a client who had given permission for me to speak on their behalf and I wouldn't without knowing further. they finally said they we're a collection agency.  but, a shady one from how they evaded all my common questions. I worked for a collection agency and never would of avoided answering most of my common ground questions. They didn't even want to tell me what state they were licensed out of. Its ny.
I would rather see them in court than trust them.
Very unprofessional of them. and if i owed a bill i trust my collector will find my mail box.

A friend of mine just called me, asking if I knew whose number that was, thinking it was an aquaintance of ours. She said that she ignored the call, but there was a long message that lasted until the timer cut it off.  It sounded like heavy breathing, animal noises, and grunting.  I will be calling them back for her to see if I can get any information for her, using her number and other personal info.  The website mentioned above at first glance looks professional, but after a moment has the look of something thrown together to look good.

I got the same thing! It was about 5 minutes long of a voicemail that sounds all demonic like. It took me a while to google the number but will report to my phone company right away. It sounds like Yeti screwing a demon with synths...wtf kind of company does this?

I just got this call.  Didn't recognize the number so I let it go to voicemail.  I listen to the voicemail and yall are right, it's like lions growling or something for like two minutes.  It's bizarre.  Hope this doesn't become a habit.

My daughter got a call from this number and it left animal sounds attacking each other like big gats.. it scared the daylights out of her!  how do we stop it?

I finally went to their website http://www.takhargroup.com/contact.htm and called the main parent company.  I spoke with someone in Canada who did speak English without a heavy accent.  I explained the situation, she looked up the phone number and had my name and said she would remove me from the call list.  She was very nervous about it saying it should have been done a while ago, and that within 12-24 hours it would be removed from the database.  We'll see if that works, but worth a try if you're getting these calls to call the parent company, not the idiots who are doing their call centers.  I am also reporting with my state's attorney general's office in case I need to pursue any further legal action.

Well we too have received several calls from this number on our cell phone, i didn't pay much attention to it because they were asking for someone else and i just told them "wrong number", but this is like the 3rd or 4th time, so i googled the number and found this information.  Again very poor english, hard to understand and lots of background noise.  Like the above poster suggested i submitted i complaint at www.donotcall.gov (as being on the "do not call list" doesn't help for this number).

I received a call from 866-202-1013 this morning. I didn't recognize it so I let it go to voicemail. I listened to the message and it sounded like they were trying to scare me with some strange demonic sounds and whispering in the background or like a lion growling. I called the # and they answer and hang up every time. I can hear background noise so I know someone is there. I filed a complaint at https://www.donotcall.gov/complaint/complaintcheck.aspx
Hopefully they can handle it because this is annoying!!!

i got 2 calls from this company starting this week. from what i read in this forum it seems to be this company http://www.takhargroup.com/. i ignored the calls so far. however i'd be interested to know how to handle it if things don't stop
