Started getting calls last week; 2 per day. I answered, but got noise in the background followed by a hang up. They called again on Saturday morning, I answered and was hung up on. I called back and got Verizon "Customer Loyalty". They had all my phone info. I told them to take me off the calling list. They said it would take 30 days and wanted me to take a survey. "Do you have a few minutes?" "No, I really don't. Please take me off the list!"
It's now Monday, and they're still calling.
DONE WITH VERIZON WHEN CONTRACT IS UP (May '13).

I recevied a missed call from 866-207-3613 which no message was left. I called and was told this is the Verizon Wireless Loyalty Dept. and could I give my password or the last 4 digits of my social. I declined to both. The woman still told me what I currently had on my account listing each number and usuage. She said the phone calls are automatic and she is to review accounts with customers to see if any changes need to be made. After the reivew she said my plan was fittin my family's needs.
I do not think this is a scam or why would they have my complete account information?

Today is the second day I received a call from this number. I'm also a Verizon customer due for an upgrade. Thanks to all for the information; I will continue to ignore these calls too.

I received a call from this number claiming to be Verizon and talking about a customer loyalty plan. I said I wasn't interested and hung up quickly.

It's the Verizon Loyalty Program. The guy on the other end had my account information and all the calling history on my phones. The goal of the call is to get you to upgrade your plan and/or your phone. I assume it's a service contractor that Verizon has outsourced to for selling stuff.

We LOVE our straight talk.
Next month when our last phone's contract is up we are dumping Verizon for good.
I just got a call from the 866 #. They hung up when I answered. Got my curiosity up and that is how I found this web site.
Personally I think Verizon is just another Corporate Run Organized Crime syndicate.

I have received 3 calls from this number in the past 2 days. I refuse to answer and the caller does not leave a message. I bought my phone at a Verizon store and I am eligible for an upgrade as I have had my phone for two years. Verizon needs to get a life!

I received a call from this number last week (February 23, 2011), but blew off the caller because I was busy at work at the time. This morning (March 1, 2011), I received a voice mail, the message specified that number to call back.
Just a few minutes ago, I received yet another call. I listened to what the guy had to say. Without me giving him any information, he was able to recite certain details about our account like the phone numbers on our account, the number of minutes on our plan, the model of my phone, etc. So at the very least, whoever it is does have access to Verizon customer information.
I told him to never call me again. He said he'd put me on their Do Not Call list, but that it will take up to 30 days to take effect.
We'll see what happens. I'm not holding my breath.

This guy called up my cell phone and asked for me by name. Once I identified myself he spoke real fast. I told him I could barely hear him over the static. He said that was why he was calling me and blah blah phone plan blah blah minutes and usage blah blah. I said, "are you with verizon?" and he said that he was. I told him that now wasn't a good time because I was on vacation. He said (get this), "What do you want ME to do." I told him to call me some other time.
I'm pretty certain this is some 3rd party vendor who has access to Verizon's billing records.
Being a jerkwad guarantees you won't have my business and kinda proves you're not legit.

keep getting repeated call to my cell phone. I never answer when I see a toll free number, always someone trying to sell something. I called back, it's a Verizon recording saying they are closed, (Sat.)
If it were important, a message would have been left.
Very abusive to bother and harass their customers.

The call is from a Verizon "outsource" service telling you about upgrades available for your phone or account. I spoke with Verizon and asked them to flag my account as a no contact. Hopefully that works. If not save the no ringtone so you won't be bothered with the phone ringing and don't waste a block.

This number has called me 4-5 times in past week. Never leaves a message. Answered twice and first time no one spoke back in a timely fashion so I hung. Second time a timid sounding young male voice kept saying "hello" and hung up after I asked who this was. I am a Verizon customer, too.

I got a call today from this number, but I was unavailable. they told my dad they would call back at 4pm but I'm not going to upgrade or renew my contract because I have no further use of their USB modem, haven't used it for months actually as I kept getting disconnected & the speed is as slow as a snail!

THIS NUMBER IS A TOTAL *FRAUD* *SCAM* ILLEGAL ACTIVITY... I HAD VERIZON BLOCK THE NUMBER.
This number and others repeatedly call... each time from a different VERIZON department. Once it was Finance department calling for someone about an overdue bill... Not mine...but someone who gave my number as the contact number. Another time they said they were 'reviewing my VERIZON account' and it was overdue $400, which it isn't!!!!... Another time they called to upgrade my service....
HANG UP ON THEM... HAVE VERIZON BLOCK THE NUMBER.... OR CANCEL YOUR VERIZON SERVICE IF THEY REFUSE TO DO ANYTHING ABOUT IT.

Calling in the late morning they referred to themselves as Verizon Wireless Customer Loyalty...
His manner was not professional, and he called from a horrible connection asking for names to validate our information. My wife received the call and she declined.
I suggest reporting them to Verizon Wireless...

Phone # 866-207-3613 has called me 3 times in the last 2 days claiming to be Verizon Customer Loyalty. Basically to pay $$$ to upgrade to new phones. I contacted Verizon *611 who could not confirm this phone # from her Loyal Customer list but also did not want to say it was definitively not Verizon called.
