Debt Collector
Received several messages from this company and I have about had it. Not only do they call me on my cell they also call me at work, call my husband as well as my mother and leave a message stating chrges are being filed against me. I answered the call one time and spoke to a Donna White who was very rude and threatening. I called this morning a voiced a complaint with the Federal Trade Comission and was giving a reference number and was told that there are numerous complaints against this company and was advised to call my state attorney generals office which I also did. I am not trying to avoid paying a debt but I would like to have that debt verified. I have never heard of this company nor have I ever heard of the company they claim to represent. There are laws set in place that require the debt be verified by mailings to your home, they can not threat you with being sued nor arrested nor can they give personal information out to your relatives. This company has broke all 3 of those laws. After speaking with the FTC and Attorney Generals Office this morning there are serious red flags in regards to these people.  I was told this morning that you can send a "Cease of Contact letter" to stop calls from them but the funny thing is you can't find an address or any information for this number to do that. The lady with the Federal Trad Commission said that is a common trick they use. They pretend to be attorneys to scare you into paying. Whether or not you owe the debt thier scare tatics are against the law.

Unfortunately, my information got on a list of these type of people.  I do not have any bad checks, fraud, etc.  I get these type of calls all the time, too.  They claim I took a payday loan using a bank account I no longer have from 2009 or 2010, depending on the call.  They call and harass and harass trying to get me to pay something I do not owe.  I usually return the calls and explain the situation, but it doens't matter.  In an effort to force and scare me to pay, they keep insisting I am lying, they have proof (which they refuse to provide me), call me names, hang up saying they are initiating action (hoping I will call back in fear), etc.  I always ask for a letter or documentation, but they always say they have already sent it and I ignored it or "you know what you did."  Even though these are all red flags of a scam, every call is still disconcerting.  I am afraid to return the call, as the Attorney General's office suggested the best way to avoid them is to not acknowledge their calls.  Does anyone have any detailed information as I would like to report them to the AG like I do every other caller?  I am tired of this disrupting my life . . .

It's a scam.  They all sound the same.  I get these calls all the time and I have no bad checks, no payday loans, no fraud, etc.  They are just waiting for a gullable sucker to call them back and give them money over the phone.  All debts are required to be sent to the supposed debtor by mail.

I feel bad for anyone who falls for it and loses their money out of fear.
