Dear MS, got a call from Dan Lynch at 1800 304 8519. That was the number you gave for the name Rick. Said they were a debt collector. I have posted another message dated Jan 16 2011 if you want to check it out. Just wanted to let you know. These idiots are going down!!

Got a call on Jan 15 (a Saturday evening) from 1 800 304 8519. Caller said he was Dan Lynch and is trying to collect a debt. Oh really, I am up to date on everything I owe so I knew this sounded fishy. I called this number a few minutes ago and got a very arrogant message letting me know to leave a message and he would get back at HIS earliest convinience. The mailbox was full, so you can't leave a message. I read through the other complaints on this site that received a call with another number. Looks like ol Dan has changed it to a new one. I hope the FCC or someone else is keeping track of these complaints. I saw most were in 2008 and it is now 2011. I hope they can get this idiot before he convinces some poor soul that he's legit. As for me DAN, I'm on to you:)))

I get several calls aday from this number, I am behind on some bills but like so many people have stated they give you no company as to whom is calling. I have turned off my ringer and my message center I have turned it down so as not to be able to hear anything. This is not the way people should have to live, give us a company name or something to go by instead of this being a collection co. What should I do? As of this date I have not returned a single call but I am getting prepared to do so after I send this off, I want to find out what kind of info they give me. I will let you all know what happened. Thanks, Linda M.Y.

Just got a call from 716.650.6240, it was a recording which told me to call 800.219.6227. I returned the call which was a machine, I left nothing.

I say Screw the people who call you, SUE the people who gave them there phone numbers. After all there the ones who issue them the numbers, they should be the ones to get flashback from all our complaints. It's no use in trying to find these a**holes, but it's easy to find there land or cell companies.
Just a thought. here some other #'s these guy's got

First part of message is always cut off. Caller identifies himself as Daniel Lynch, claims that something was discussed in his office (what that something is, he never says), and to call him back before 9 PM. Calls every day. Finally picked up today, and was met with a string of obscenities before the caller hung up.

got the same message that others have been getting about calling because I owe something. I called the number and the man didn't even have the right name. I told him not to call back and he said he wouldn't as it is a wrong number. (not so politely though... in fact, this was one of the rudest people I have ever spoken with on the phone) a day later the same number called and I called back again and spoke with the same rude a**hole. I told him again not to call as I know that he does not work for a legitimate business. he then told me not to call him just to pick fights and that I should get off my a** because I must be bored. all i asked was that he stop calling my house.

We have received at least 1 call per day for many weeks now (today is 2/28/08) from phone number 866.265.5239, however, the recorded message states that I need to call Brian Consuda (or Gonzuda) at 800-304-8506 (message begins with Debit Collection Agency) and that I need come in "so we can resolve the issue in our office" and that their office is open until 9:00 pm Eastern Time. Every day this week we have noted that the '866' number is calling and let the answering machine answer it. Then we listen to the exact same message from "Brian".
My brief research on 866.265.5239 on Google is that it might be Capital One....should I find anything else out I'll post another response.

I have recieved almost 30 calls from 866-265-5239 at my home. Some as early as 7am and as late as 10pm est.
These calls are for someone who previously had our phone number!!
I have 2 babies that are contiously awaken from naps and sleep from these calls.
When I try to call this company to take my number off their automated calling, it says "mailbox full"
Why isn't these types of call spamming ILLEGAL!

I have been getting calls from Dan Lynch and also Dan Lynn but it is just a recording on my answering machine. The one time that I did answer it they hung up. Now that I know it is a scam, I will never call it back. I have been using a calling card when I called it back so they will not track my phone.
| Brian 2011-06-06 21:01:21 Unknown |
I get daily calls from 866-265-5239. Most of them are cut-off, not one of them has referred to me by name. They refer to some "notification" that I am not responding to, but I certainly have not received any such thing. Especially considering how often they call, I would remember getting something in writing from them. My messages all say to call back Daniel Lynch, but never refer to a company.
When I call back it goes to Capital One - and the voice-box is "full". How absurd - and considering I have never had a credit card with Capital One, I am thinking it is a scam - especially in light of the above posts.

I've been getting calls for a month or so now and I called the 866-265-5239 number back and told them to take me off their call list. The lady that answered the phone said that they can't take me off the list unless I payed off the debt that I owe. A little while into the call she said that she would put me down as I promise to pay half of the debt owed. I immediately told her that I was not committing to anything and that I would call them back when I figured out what I can afford. She said that the promise was not the same as a commitment....? <What world does she live in?> During the conversation she would start talking and not stop no matter what I said, I even told her to shut up after trying to get a word in for 2 minutes and she still continued talking. The conversation got cut off (lost cell reception) before I could finish talking. I hope they call back. The more their number is logged on my cell bill the easier it will be to sue for harassment.

He's been calling me since August of 2007. I never return his call. No sense encouraging him. After each call, I immediately file a complaint on the Do not Call website (fat lot of good that does). I have phoned and complained to the FTC. The calls keep coming. 866-265-5239 is a fairly new number being used by these scumbags. The caller ID show's as Capitol One. Today, I spoke with Cori Desio in Capitol One's investor relations Department - 703-720-2455, because I'm sure that Capitol One does not want to be associated with this scam. we exchanged information, and I was promised a follow up call from the appropriate Capitol One Contact. I realize that this isn't thinking too far outside the box, but it's worth a try.

I receive phone calls from "Mr. Dan Lynn" on a daily basis, generally leaving a voice mail on my mailbox. I know this is a scame because I owe no debt, and I was wondering if there was another way to prosecute this phony phone number by means other than an Attorney General.

edited to add that the Rep from Sears called and this company hung up on her....
| Samantha 2011-06-06 21:01:21 Unknown |
We got a call from here too.. they claim to be Sears. We called Sears Corporate, they say we owe NOTHING, but this company demanded over $2000 then said "we can take it down to $600"... I dont think so... I called back, they claim to have spoken with someone here that they never talked to. They want my phone number again, I give it to them considering they have already called one time, who cares.. anyway, then they lie to say they have talked to someone else here, again not true. Before this is over, a shaky voiced female says nothing and hangs up. I ask her before she hangs up where shes calling from, she says something so fast I cant remember and when she repeats I still cant understand.... what a bunch of weirdos, but they havent called back.

From #716.650.6240 Three men (Rick Bron, Daniel Lynch, Dan lynn) from this number (national action financial services, inc/ a debt collections agency) have called me every other day for the past several weeks about the same time too (10-11am). I called back one day and they wouldnt tell why they were leaving threating recordings. i dont have anything in collections, i wouldnt give my name and they hung up on me.
the beginnings of most messages are cut off too. the first few messages were very vauge/ then after a week or two, they started to leave more detailed recordings. they each leave different # to call them back with
Rick 800.304.8519
daniel 866.265.5244
dan 866.265.5239
hope this helps....

I've been getting many many calls, with a message saying they are bill collectors, and I must call them back at 1-866-265-5239 and ask for Dan Lynn. I called that number last night, and it was a trucking employment service. Today, just after getting another message, I called again, and it said the mailbox was full, and "Capital One"
I called Capital One and I am current on my payments.

I've been receiving calls from Dan Lynn for about a week now. I've also Trained Collections for 2 Law Firms, and this is an illegal practice under the FDCPA.Under the FDCPA, this harrassment will result in a fine to the Company, and Mr. Lynn can be held personally responsible and fined up to $10,000.
I found information on this number at this site:
http://www.ripoffreport.com/reports/0/160/RipOff0160418.htm
Then I went over to the New York State Attorney General's Office to file a complaint, and found this!
