I called the number back from my land line since it is a 866 number, and it is TELUS trying to get through. However, I decline any number I don't recognize on my cell.

I emailed Telus about this number and they confirmed that it does belong to their outbound sales team. So its not a scam, they are just basically trying to switch people to monthly bill plans instead of prepaid.

I am getting calls from this # aswell. I dont answer. But i always check google for the #s that call me that arent in my contacts.

I have been receiving land line calls and cell phone calls on my pay as you go ..I don't answer them and my cell phone is out of minutes so it has to be Telus calling me happens everyday several times a day on both land line and cell becoming annoying so in another month I have been with them for a year and can change my service provider and will be doing just that.

I receive calls from this number about 3 or 4 times every evening at the same time.  I think that they are from Telus marketing, but Telus is useless when it comes to customer service.  I deeply regret using Telus, but they are the only one in our area that provides pay as you go service.

Received this call last night, no message left.  I have Telus Pay as you go and also received a text offering me an upgrade to a monthly plan, so the comments from others saying that this is a call from Telus trying to get me to sign up to a monthly plan makes sense.   With the LG phone, you can block these calls by saving these numbers and assigning them to a "group", and then setting the "group" not to ring.   So next time the call comes in from this number, it won't ring.  I assign all the telemarketer calls to the same group and label them as "Pest".

I got a call from this number today fot the first time on my telus prepaid phone. Didn't answer, googled it, found this thread (thank you! ) and just put it on my S3's "Reject list". I hope this feature works!

received twice this call on Monday April 1 2013 and Tuesday April 2, 2013. No one tolked to me, but I am concerned since I do not give my number to anybody exept few friends.

I get calls from this number every day now. Some woman claiming to know my current spending habits on my Telus phone and says she's got a deal for me. I'm on a pay as you go phone and only use it for texting. Obviously a scam but she won't stop.

I've received this number 5 times over the past week and a half or so. I started to ignore them, but after the 3rd call I answered it and the man on the other end asked for my father. I told him this wasn't my father's number, there was a long pause, and then the man suddenly hung up without leaving a message or explaining who he was. Very suspicious. I've been ignoring every call after that

I'm in Edmonton, and have received that same number two days in a row.  I not happy to see that this number is a scam, and I am going to make a report to the RCMP about it.

My 13 year old had gotten 2 calls from this number on her pay as you go phone.  I called the number back, using *67 to block my land line number, and it went straight to Telus.  They are calling to upgrade pay as you go phones to a contract.  I told him that I didn't want to upgrade as the phone is for texting only.  He then said that he is 'changing the parameters' on the account so that they will not call the phone anymore.

So we will see if they follow through with the changes.  I'll keep my fingers crossed!

Keeps calling my cell phone. I have no calling plan, only texting. I also have my phone registered on the do not call list.

I got daily calls from this number and never answered.  I called from a land line, blocking my number of course, and it was some Indian guy from Telus.  I did NOT agree to giving my number or selling it, and I'm on the Cdn National Do Not Call List (which obviously is a joke now).  I started texting them repeatedly for about a half hour (thanks to unlimited texting) to give them the same annoyance...and within 3 days they stopped calling.  I do that now with all the 866 numbers.

I just got 2 of these calls today..didn't answer..& I definitely wont after reading this...THANKS!!!!

Gue kept xaying he's from Telus and wanted to compare what I pay to a great deal he could give me.  He was still babblin while I was hanging up on him - great deal of confusion in background.

I received a call today by this number - they hung up. Probably knowing they weren't going to get anywhere when I asked: Who are you looking for? (more than once)
Really glad to have found this service! It clearly reinforces my suspicion that this was a solicitation pure and simple.

I've got 3 calls from this number in the past week. I've never answered since I don't have a calling plan on my phone. It's annoying as s***.

This number has no listing with Canada 411, the voicemail I recieved was something to do with "Global" and it had something vague about it being important.
