Do they handle charter too?  I don't have comcast

We have been getting these calls like crazy and we are not with time warner or comcast and its always an automated phone call. When we called back it was someone with a really thick accent that was making guesses about our account with another company. So to me these phone calls are a scam.

This is a fraud. They have called me 10 times a day, no joke. They say they are contracted with  Time Warner, but when I called Time Warner they told me they've never heard of them. This company also sent a truck to my house asking for a payment and to turn off the cable.  The guy didn't even know where the pole was and we don't even if have cable!  We only have Internet. Time Warner told me they don't send people out to take payments. I called the "debt collector" back and I told them to take my name off of their calling list and they said okay.....If this was a debt collector I don't think I would've been able to take my number off the list so easily.  It's a scam if they ask for a payment DO NOT give it to them! Call your company first.

ACS calling on behalf of comcast to verify that i was transferring my service to a new address...NOT a bill collector.

I called them back and it is Comcast.  It was about a payment to stop interruption of service.  I had paid the bill and transferred my service.  Their records hadn't been updated.

how about when you don't have a comcast or cable account, and they call incessantly?

It's NOT a bill collector. They are calling because you recently canceled or transferred your Comcast service. It is a protection against fraud or someone trying to screw with you. They just want to verify the change. Be happy that they are calling.

its not a dept collector - It a company offering to pick up cable equipment so you don't have to take the time and deliver it.

866-377-0711 is a debt collector

Comcast customer service just calling to verify a move request I had made. Not debt collector.
