I got some mail for this company who is a person. He doesn't answer his phone as a company name. I got the feeling it was a shady business because of this. Our company had a tax lien placed on us due to hard times. That has been since resolved. This guy says his company is Global Services (if that is truly their name) sent mail 3x with "TAX LIEN FILED". and then again "TAX NOTICE FINAL NOTICE TAX NOTICE in red capital letters. It appears his intention is to broad cast this tax lien by bringing it to employees attention, at the same time trying to scare us into hiring him to help us. This mailing attempted to look like an official document. When I called this number 866-460-9601 on this mailing, being very upset about this printing on the outside of the advertisement, he was trying to get my business to hire him resolve this tax problem. I DON?T THINK SO!! I was upset because he was attempting to broadcast this information. I told him, how dare him, put this information on the outside of 3 different mailings to our business. He said this is public information and anyone could get this information. I told him no one would think to look, but now him sending this information this way, I?m sure it is out there. An alarm was unnecessarily alerted to our employees. I told him it would be a cold day in hell before we did business with him even if we did still need him. Talk about trying to capitalize in someone else?s hardship. What a creep!!!

Yes i think i will start sueing under TCPA rules .
I got to thinking, the way this is going i can make well over 25,000 in a year of this .
I tried FCC ...it stops the calls for about a month then they start up again, and ALWAYS their looking
for somebody i used to know and havent seen or heard from in years.
Besides I dont need the money ,but what the heck ,I think I"ll start a class action suit against all my
unwanted callers and the suppliers of the 800 service, sueing 800 service would makeme an easy
1/2 million then all the "Little Guy's"using (abusing) the service.

I haven't switched and just got the same blank call...

I too switched from Verizon to AT&T for the iPhone 3G. I canceled service on Friday and got the call at 1:24 pm today. Since I was already on another call (actually 2, one VoIP and one on the other landline, yes, heard the iPhone buzzing too) I was not able to answer the call from 1-866-460-4096. The person did not leave a message.

They're harrassing me as well. Just switched from Verizon to AT&T. I'm not sure what their gameplan is, but I do know it's not working.
Eric 2011-06-06 21:02:05 Unknown
Same as you all, Verizon to At&t for Iphone and got the call and no voicemail about a week after switching!
Omi 2011-06-06 21:02:05 Unknown
Same story here, I switched from verizon to At&T for 3G a month back, I got a miss call and no voice message left....
KN 2011-06-06 21:02:05 Unknown
Switched from Verizon to AT&T - same, no message. I do not answer or return calls from unknown numbers.
BRobinson 2011-06-06 21:02:05 Unknown
Received a call today, and there was no reply when I answered.
Josh 2011-06-06 21:02:05 Unknown
Same story as above, had verizon, switched to AT&T to get the iphone and I've gotten called twice by this number. There's no sound or anything.
Melissa 2011-06-06 21:02:05 Unknown
2 calls no voicemail
Brooke 2011-06-06 21:02:05 Unknown
This is totally making me laugh! My husband and I just switched from Verizon to Sprint last week. Must be protocal to contact people about 4 days or so after they switch. Sort of creepy!
Brooke 2011-06-06 21:02:05 Unknown
Ok, so I got my second call today, which if you see above, was the next day. This time I answered the phone "hello verizon" and someone actually spoke to me! She was trying to get me back and offered me an additional $50 and to waive the activation fees if we came back. When I told her that the plan was better than anything they had to offer. She was polite and ended the conversation. Don't you think she should have asked what that plan was if I was such a "valued" customer? Funny.

I switched from Verizon and have been getting calls from this number. I never answer numbers I don't recognize so I am very glad this thread helped me find out who was calling.
Sean 2011-06-06 21:02:05 Unknown
Also dropped Verizon, but just the wireless service. I didn't answer and received no voicemail.
Beth 2011-06-06 21:02:05 Unknown
I switched from Verizon to AT&T a week ago, and I have received 2 calls from this number. I did not answer.
Yancy 2011-06-06 21:02:05 Unknown
Same story
Justin 2011-06-06 21:02:05 Unknown
Same song and dance. I left verizon for ATT becAuse the iPhone and that verizons service is bad and sme with their customer service. I paid for a data plan for over a yr and the phone I had didn't have the data option. I was told I needed it for texting. Verizon credited me a little becuase it was something I should have caught. Bs. Ended early and learned a lesson verizonsucks!

The story fits the call pattern. Just switched to AT&T from Verizon and I'm getting a call from this number everyday. They won't leave a message and since I don't answer numbers I don't know, they will have to leave a message if they want to talk to me.
julie 2011-06-06 21:02:05 Unknown
Have never been a verizon customer and got the same call, no voicemail. Ex has been harrassing me, could it be related?
Laura 2011-06-06 21:02:05 Unknown
Same. I switched from Verizon to Sprint and this number has called me at least 5 times. I continue to ignore it.
Kathy 2011-06-06 21:02:05 Unknown
This is interesting. I think I might take 'Brooke - 19 Feb 2009's example and answer it "hello verizon" next time I get the call... :-)
Laura 2011-06-06 21:02:05 Unknown
Same thing as the rest, switched 1 week ago for the iPhone, have had about 7 calls from this number, no messages. Does anybody know when they stop calling?
Verizon Customer 2011-06-06 21:02:05 Unknown
Got the call twice, neither time was there someone on the other end. Called it back. They are "associated" with verizon but not verizon. Asked for a bunch of info I didn't give them. Called verizon and they said it is a company that handles people that are dropping a line or thinking about it. I told her I was not and that they had the wrong number. She called them personally and assured me that the calls will stop. We will see. Hope that helps!
jeff 2011-06-06 21:02:05 Unknown
I've had 2 voicemails left from this number with nothing recorded
Ryan 2011-06-06 21:02:05 Unknown

Ryan 2011-06-06 21:02:05 Unknown
This is a verizon wireless number. I called the actually company from my phone and they were able to confirm that this is indeed one of there numbers. It is there department that offers specials to their coustmers.
Chris 2011-06-06 21:02:05 Unknown
I just recently switched from Verizon to At&t (to get an iPhone) and I received a call from this number about 4 days after I dropped Verizon. There was no one there, the call did not go through and they didnt leave a message.
KristinN 2011-06-06 21:02:05 Unknown
I also got this call several times after dropping Verizon, is this their way of harrassing legitimate cancellations?
dwarren 2011-06-06 21:02:05 Unknown
Yeah, I just got a call from this number as well. Just switched from Verizon to Helio. Maybe its their way of seeing if the number is still in use or not. who knows...
