Got a very strange recorded message from 1-866-489-8392.

I got the message too.  They want me to call them but don't even say who they are and it's this very ominous sounding voice.  It's not like I'm past due on any bills or anything so I haven't a clue.

There calling me over 8 times a day! and when I call I was put on hold after getting some on in Russia I told him off and he said my number was being taken off the list. O they were calling for some name I don't know.

very strange company, wanted wat to much personal information, when I would not give it to them, they terminated the call.

I received a message asking me to call 866-489-8392. When I called it I was told it was a collection agency for Earthlink. They wanted a credit card number for an outstanding bill.
knowing that I owed Earthlink about $22.00, I offered to pay them if they would send me a bill in the mail. The rep refused and said they only take payment with a credit card.
Having had a very bad experience with a stolen credit card number, I refused. I told him I would contact Earthlink myself regarding the money $22.00 I owed them. He laughed and said I owed $98.00, which it total crap. He demanded that I give him a credit card or he would "trash" my credit. I hung up on the jerk.

I too received harassing calls from this company. It was for a nominal amount owed to earthlink. I can say, between earthlinks Indian lack of customer service,and now this harassment for less than $40, I will never return to earthlink,Never.

They just called me and left a message on my voice mail to call them back on a time urgent business matter but they dont identify themselves. If I am not mistaken it is illegal in NY State to leave these kind of messages and not ID yourself. I recommend people check the website for their state attorney generals office to see if these calls are legal and if not report it.

Got a message asking me to call a different number and give them the reference number I recieves in the message. I just called this number and some homo with that sounded Russian answered. I didn't give him the reference number because I didn't right it down he knew who was calling and my address. When I asked him what this call was about he said "It is a personal matter and I can't tell you without verifying your personal information." I just hung up on the douche.
