received a message on a SPrint mobile phone from 646 421-5816 saying to call  866 514-6635 for a $50 gift certificate

Unsolicited text from (718) 581-7123. "Thank you for visiting our website, to claim your $50 Target gift card voucher, please call 866-514-6635."

I got the same text message from 646-643-3610 stating that I got a $50.00 gift card voucher from target  for replying a survey and in order to claim it, i have to call this no 866--514-6635 and  I called ,a woman answer the phone and said I have to pay the shipping from credit card or Debit.I asked the woman what company is this that I have to pay the postage for reward.?No answer,hang up the phone. How can they found my phone no?

Got same mess $50 target gift cert.
Called the 800#
Asked for my # to be taken off their call list.
They say they are not the ones calling!!!
Told they they have been reported.

they sent me a text saying i won a $50 dollars target visa cards and to call to confirm so i called and they said it will be $4.20 for shipping and handling and i said ok and gave them my credit card information and then put me through to someone who gave me a authorinzation I.D.# Number wat can i do ?

If I go by what I am reading above, someone has all your card information to make purchases online...

I got 3 texts within 2 minutes about a Target $50 gift card from 646-403-7256 and to call 866-514-6635

You  need to call your bank and have them research these people. You will probably be put on some auto billing from this scam company so watch your statements. Something similar happened to me, but it was after I purchased something from an info-mercial. I was billed by what looked like 2 different companies for months before I noticed. When I called to find out who they were they told me to read the fine print next time (I called from a t.v. ad with fine print of S&P). The phone numbers for both unknown companies went to the same place over seas... I went straight to my bank where the did a Merchant Charge Back. Visa customers can do this for charges that are years old so please don't hesitate to get your money back.

same here! I got a message saying that I won a $50 target voucher.  I have NEVER given them my number.  They must have been able to tap into my personal information on my computer.  The only other place where my cell phone number is saved to my computer is in the file where I registered my lap top.  Too weird, Someone needs to look into this.

Received 3 of these text in the last 24 hrs.

Ignored the first 2, probably made a mistake by even replying "stop" to the third.  Now they know its a live number.

same message from the 646 number (april 21st)..  i was even more confused cause i work at target.. im sure its a scam, not sure how they got my number, im a little scared tho since i did order some stuff online recently

Me too!  Although a $50 Target gift card was tempting, I'm just sure it's a scam.  Has anybody heard anything else about this???  Wonder what kind of scam it really is...

I got the text and called the number to investigate the so-called gift card offer. Interesting... I never visited Target website either, nor would there be any way I'd have given my cell number on a Target website. If you keep the voice (sounds like an automated sort of voice too) on the line long enough you'll find out

1. the gift card can't be mailed in your state
2. they ask for a relative etc. to send it to in another state
3. FINALLY they tell you to get it, you have to have the $4.50 handling charge charged to your Master Card.

They also state they have some authorized listing with MC etc. and are trying to get you to give them your Master Card number.

These people should be caught and prosecuted.

Hey I got the same text as you all! I even called this number back and the lady said she couldn't help take the charges off because she was part of their marketing department. THis is such a scam! they need to be reported!!! I have been charged 49.95 twice unknowingly!

Okay my text came from this number 917-349-8552 and here is who it belongs to.  VIBRATIONS believe it or not it is a sex toy party place.  The text said to call this number 866-514-6635.  They I viisted their site and left my number well I never leave my cell number on the net.  I agree we need to find a way to stop these people.

my fiancee and I received this same text from a 646-421-5862 and a 646-421-5816 number. Except instead of a $50.00 gift card we got $250.00 gift card. My fiance called them and they said they needed our email address and our address and $10.95 for shipping and handling to send the gift card. DEFINITELY a SCAM!!!!!!!

I called and a person with a spanish accent answered.  I asked who they were and how they obtained my cell number and they claimed to be with a Discount Magazine company and that either I or a friend had supplied my cell number in a survey.  I continued to question them and I was hung up on.  I called back and again and this person also had a spanish accent.  I asked where she was located and she said Colorado Springs, CO.  I continued to question who they were and she told me to call their customer service department at 1-877-308-9502.  I called this number and choose to speak to a representative and spoke with "Robert".  He said he was with Discount Magazines.  I asked for his address and he had to look it up.  He gave me 1115 Elkton Drive, Suite 300, Colorado Springs, CO.  I asked who the president of his company was and he hung up.  I googled the address and it belongs to Real Property Managment.  I doubt they know anything about this SCAM.

UNWANTED TEXT RE: $50 TARGET GIFT CARD SAID TO CALL THIS NUMBER TO CLAIM. CAME FROM #347-891-2459. WHO IS THIS? #347 AREA CODE IS OUT OF NY.

got two messages from completely different numbers within 10 seconds of each other telling me to call this number because i won a 50 dollar target gift card. i do not put my cell number online so i have no clue how they got it even though they said thank you for visiting our website.

Same exact thing: two messages within 10 seconds of each other from different phone numbers, telling me to call about a $50 Target gift card.

I received a text from +16464037256 with the following message "Thank you for visiting our website, to claim your $50 Target gift card voucher, please call 866-514-6635"

I do not use my cell phone number online for registrations or purchases. At the recommendation of my parents, I signed up on the national "do not call" list several months ago.  

A reverse look-up shows the +16464037256 number to be from New York, NY with Carrier: Level 3 Communications.

I have the same message: "Thank you for visiting our website, to claim your $50 Target gift card voucher, please call 866-514-6635" from number 6464215816. Grrrr. I have no idea how they got it either.
