If anyone's getting bothered by these people on their cell phones, just do what I did - save the number as 'junk' in your contacts and set the ring tone to silent. They can call all they want and you won't even notice.

They called me about a $1000 Rogers bill. I think I'd certainly know if I defaulted on a Rogers account for that much money. Nice try, con artists.

I do have an account with rogers, but my bills have already been accounted for. TEN missed calls from them already, don't know how they got my number.

they say that it's bell canada.  not a solicitation call and give a number to call back at. i never had a bell canada account.  yes, the calls are 5x a day.  the worst part is that they come to my cell phone, i don't give this number away, ever which means that rogers did!

I called the number back using a blocked phone number. This company is a Collection agency called iQor Canada. I asked them to please stop calling so I gave them my # that they've been calling, and then they asked for my last name so I just gave them a fake last name (coz I'm still skeptical if they're legit) and then they asked me if I know this person w/ this last name (I'm guessing the debtor) and I told them I don't.. they apologized and they said it'll take 24 to 48 hours for the # to be taken out... we'll see what happens..

They phone everyday, usually start before 8:00 am.  yesterday they left a message saying "this is not a telemarketer.  I have a message for you.  I am sick and tired of it.  I turn the ringer and answering machine off at night so they won't wake me up.  What do you do about this.

this is getting brutal, six times a day everyday. this is definetly a scam, looking to get as much info they can from you. they will keep asking personal questions until they get what they want. my phone company said I am not able to block this number because it is privately owned. i feel like changing my phone number.

They just called me and i could not really make out what she was saying. but it sounded something like Canadian something!

I had a cell phone with Rogers here in Edmonton. Had a $100.00 credit limit on air-time. Went over limit. Phone cut off. Account closed. They don't bill me for $110.00 and reconnect phone. Get bill for $950.00.  Collections agency on my case. Credit rating ruined. I refuse to pay. Collection agency sends letter offering one time chance to settle debt for $450.00 if I pay NOW!

My question is... if I pay $900.00 bill do I get service restored AND 9 months of air-time?

Rogers has the biggest scam going. High priced lawyers were probably paid to design contract that gets customers money even if they don't get any service!

I keep getting calls from them too ?!

I've been getting bugged by them for 2 years. I now hit a button on the phone and hold it for at least 5 minutes. This sends a screetch in their ear and by law, they cannot hang up on the customer. This then cost them for the signal. I am getting very tired though and are looking into calling the police to report harrasing phone calls. In Canada, it is not leagal to call someone that owes you money daily like this. By law they are suposed to send you a registered letter detailing the amount owing and how to make payments.

This number has been calling me repeatedly for a few weeks at least four times a day.  They never leave a voicemail.

I figured that if it was an important call, coming from a reputable business, they would leave a message letting me know that they called.

After reading these posts, I think I'll just continue to ignore them.

Getting calls daily, even up at my cottage. Haven't answered yet, but I'm tempted just to tell someone off. It's really annoying because I just was assigned this number when I moved back from school. I'm going to report these fools for sure.

THESE PEOPLE ARE CALLING OUR NUMBERS BECAUSE THEY ARE STILL UNDER THE BELIEF THAT THE PREVIOUS OWNER OF THE CELL NUMBER IS STILL AVAILABLE AT THAT NUMBER. I JUST SO HAPPENED TO KNOW THE LAST PERSON WHO HAD THIS NUMBER HAHA AND I TOLD THEM TO F*** OFF BECAUSE I HAVE BEEN GETTING THESE CALLS FOR ALMOST 2 YEARS AND THEY TOLD ME THEY WILL REMOVE THE NUMBER. DAMN COLLECTIONS AGENCIES!!

They (IQOR) call here every morning by 9am, always ask for a particular person, then when I say they are not here, they proceed to call throughout the day but never say anything. So I started calling them and not saying anything. They know where the number is calling from because they say this persons name when I call there and not say anything. So hopefully after I call them numerous times throughout the day and say nothing, then maybe they will stop... More then likely not.

if you are being harassed by these people and you live in Canada, call Phone Busters. They are run by the RCMP and they investigate fraud committed over the phone. When I was being harassed in a similar manner, I told them that I had filed a complaint with the RCMP and that any further calls would be recorded and forwarded to the police as evidence. I have never received a phone call from them since.

OMG! from the way i understand it, they want you to call back. it registers your number and makes them call you more. that's what i've been reading from other people who have had problems. apparently in some cases, they call anywhere up to 10-12 times a day after you call them!

I have read on some sites that this is a collection company for rogers. I doubt that they are. I have not had business dealings with rogers for ten years and when i left them my account was clean. The reason why this company is calling you is to scam you out of your money. That is why the information that they have about you is incomplete or just wrong and why they don't care about the do not call list. They tell you that you owe some company money and  tell you that you have to pay it. Most people are smart enough not to give them their credit card information, but some do and because some people do give them money we all have to suffer through their calls.

I asked her did you realize that its 7:19 am in Vancouver.
Before I finished my sentence, she replied to me, don't worry we are allow to call from 7am PT.

Thats when I realized its a scam, I told her I don't deal with any business calls before 8am PT.
Did she ever get pissed off, she used the F word and hang up on me.

This is a collection agency that is very rude to people.
