You moron! I cancelled my subscription over two years ago. I had no charge last year, but had a recurring amazon prime charge this year, february 2014. This is clearly not a service i  or anyone else would ask for!! This is clearly a scam

After reading the submission here I now understand why this showed up on my banking statement. What bothers me though is, why? I dont recall signing up for this. Moreover, I try calling the number but asks for an access code, to which I have no clue. As a result I am unable to unsubscribe. Any suggestions?

Amazon Prime is actually a great service if you order anywhere from 2 or more items online each year because you get free 2 day shipping on quite a selection of goods available on Amazon.  You also get free streaming TV and Movies, comparable to Netflix with this $79 annual charge.

If you received a charge for the Prime service, you simply did not cancel your 30 day free trial.  You were more than likely charged after this trial as clearly described to you at the time you received the free shipping.

It's not a scam, actually a really great service, I love it!  Free two day shipping for most of my orders all year long, plus streaming tv, movies and much more, can't beat it.

Next time you order something with free shipping, maybe read the terms and conditions regarding the free shipping :)

Just call them 866-216-1072, they will cancel your amazon prime member and refund your the whole money to your credit card within 2-3 business day.
