Just got one. Probably Fido, as I have a Fido phone and they're not shy about harassing their clients.

We're getting called by this number too, three or four times a week. When we answer, no one there although it sounds like the line is "open". I called yesterday (Aug. 5, '08) and got, "This is the (VMS? The MS? BMS? I couldn't make it out) Customer Contact Centre. Your service provider is (they gave me a name that unfortunately I didn't pay attention to. One of your service providers is trying to reach you."
Today, I got the call again and googled the number and got this site. Reading all your entries, I tried calling the number again to get the guy's name, and this time it didn't give me his name but did provide an option, in English, to press "1" and have my number removed from the list. Maybe they've been getting the message that people are annoyed! Anyway, I followed the option and hope I never hear from them again.

They call several times a day, every day for weeks.  If it's that important, please leave a message, if not take a hike! I've removed my number from the list several times and it works for a couple of weeks and then starts up again.  Let's see what happens this time.

got this call yesterday but missed it.  today I heard someone typing then they hungup.  really annoying.  generally I find telling these kinds of calls to remove my name from the calling list helps a little, but not much.

it is fido trying to sell u another phone. i refused and they stopped for few months and again they started calling.

I have been receiving multiple calls daily from this number, and always during regular business hours when I am at work. I saw these postings and I called Fido to complain. Apparently I have been removed from "the list". Hopefully this will put an end to these annoying calls

I have been receiving up to 5 calls a day from this number.  Is it really Fido?  I receive these calls mostly during the day, while I am at work.  I have answered before, and I also am not receiving a response.

it's fido services and they keep offering junk
i let them start their pitch then i hang up.

they keep calling me and when i answer it is a dial tone

This number calls me EVERY DAY.

In my case it was from Fido trying to sell me 2nd pair of mobile phone.

I got this calls from last two days. two times in a day!

Well, it seems i'm not the only victim of those annoying phone calls.

same things as everyone. what the hell is this. is it a scam or what?

Recorded message when # called back saying: "One of your service providers is trying to contact you and will call back again".  Once message was repeated in French I did have the option to press #1 to have number removed from their calling list.
