This is Bank of America, they are more persistent than jock itch.

This has happened before after I ordered checks.  Recently I received a new credit card and the calls started again. I found this post after looking up who was calling me, placed myself on the do not call list, and I just got ANOTHER call!

I've received at least 10 calls from them today, every 1/2 hour.  It could be more but my que only goes to 10.  Yesterday I blocked their number as I have VOIP phone service and it's humorous to see them waste their time.

They called me twice and I just called the number back and put myself on the "Do not call list". They said it will be updated in 30 days.

Phone rang at 8:02 am - bright and early! No message, just a sad voice saying hello? hello? hello? into the machine.

It is B of A. I called the number back and opted to be put on the their do not call list. Very easy. Hope that will stop the calls, although I was slightly behind on my payment, so I'm sure that's why they were calling.

Called me so many times I downloaded a Micheal Jackson sound board and put it on and was talking to him and freaked him out... Hopefully never calls back :)

I received a call this morning. They actually left me a message! LOL! Some lady tried to inform me that it's a "financial matter" and I should "get back with them as soon as possible to resolve this". LOL!

So I call back and of couse as any telemarketer does, when I began asking questions, I was hung up on! LOL! I love it! They couldn't tell me my name, number, nor which account with BOA they were calling about. (Although I have Wachovia! LMAO!!) I love these people!

Bank of America (BOA)called me the of April 7, 2009.

The caller identified herself as part of the BOA fraud prevention department and proceeded to give instructions on how she was going to have credit reports sent to me from all three of the major consumer credit reporting agencies.  I was then to review them and notify BOA if there was anything unusual.

I thought this was a bit unusual as in the past when credit card companies
called regarding suspected fraud they typically address specific items in
question and verify the validity with the cardholder.

At the end of her long wind spiel she attempted o gloss over that the reports
were free "for the first 30 days" and I could cancel after that.  

This immediately tipped me off she was soliciting a subscription to their ID
theft protection membership and was not contacting me about something specific to my account as she had indicated earlier.

The number they called from was 866-585-8964.

I have been responsible, ethical and frugal with my money all my life and I'll be damned if they are going to get out of the hole they dug for themselves on my back.

This type of behaviour from an organization such as Bank of America
is inexcusable and I am tired of this type of s*** from a business that should know better.

this discussion board may in deed be useless i think. whoever they are the calls will continue no matter what. if the opt out feature in fact is effective in stopping these calls, then i'm surprised. taken together, we just have to write this off as the stress of everday life.

866-585-8964 must call my land phone at least 6 to 8 times a day.  I have caller ID and also an answering machine.  If I don't know the caller I will not answer.  I wish if it is important they would leave a message. Other wise stop calling.

I called back and within 10 seconds heard the "OPT out" message (#2 on your keypad)That took me to another recording that repeated the message and asked me for my 10 digit phone number. I entered it and the computer repeated it for varification. The next message said I would be off the call/mail list within 30 days.
The whole opt out took less than a minute**Not bad...Worth the call. Take the minute to lose this constant caller who hangs up!

I haven't called back yet but I figure if they're gonna call twice a day they might leave a message.  Mine is a new number and the only real place I had to notify of a number change other then family is the bank.  So this is what they do with it?  Twice a day every day.

If you call back the number you can opt to be put on their do not call list. I hope this works! They have woken me up 3 times!

They call every night over & over, VERY annoying & can't get them to stop!
