I have been called a million times (or so it seems) and have yet to answer the call.  I keep rejecting it, as it is a toll free, and I have no interest in that.   I would like to stop these calls.  How?

Can't get them to stop no matter what you do, I have called them, emailed them, canceled all my HBC cards.. nothing stops these people. Its IMPOSSIBLE to get off their list.

constantly getting calls from 866-696-0847.Would appreciate if something could be done to stop these calls or perhaps a word to the proper authorities be made to get rid of this scam?

this number is called from HBC Zellers agent. These guys called constantly. They called for confirming your information such as your name, mailing address, city of birth for security question. And they will send you their 20%discount coupons, flyer information or sth like that.

*60 doesnt work, it just goes in a loop. press 3 to add the number *input number* dead air, so hit #. The it repeats. Waste of time

I sent an email to HBC concerning their privacy act and the harrassing phone calls.  I gave them 5 days to do one of the following 1. Cancel my card
                                        2. Use their resources to eliminate the nonsense.   If it turns out to to be a
                                            scam then they have the power and means to solve the issue.  If enough
                                            people do the same thing you can be sure it will stop.

everyday I am receiving telephone call from 1-866-696-0847 they never leave a message.  I wont pick up when I don't know who is call me.

I am so annoyed at this constant calling from HBC telemarketers it is enough to make me shop at Sears!  I've tried several times to register for the DO NOT CALL list but it just does not work.  They are sickening and intrusive.  This NEVER happened when the company was Canadian owned!  I'm sure that their American-style marketing offensives are not well received in this country.

Those guys never give up. I picked up the phone one time, that guy just asked my name and said he's gonna call back later w/t saying any other things. They didn't even tell me who r they! Whz wrong with them!?

I just talked to them and it is the Hudson's Bay Company (or someone on their behalf). We have an HBC card so they are calling with offers. I asked to be taken off the call list and they said it would take 30 days.

I receive a call or more at least four times a week but when I pick up, no one says anything.

called the number back and got recording that said it was Bank of America. pressed 1 to find out more about the call and was given the option to have my number put on their do not call list. I followed the instructions (entered my 10 digit phone number and pressed 1 to confirm ). Recording said it would take up to 30 days. We'll see.

I filed complaint with CRTC whose web site indicates that if you have a transaction with this company, they have the right to call you.  If this is truely HBC, then they are loosely intepreting that if you have a HBC card and shop at the Bay or Zellers, they have the right to sic their telemarkers on you.  Well as a customer, I disagree and if we get more of these we will cancel out card and business with HBC.  It's not worth the hassle.

It also appears that they use multiple numbers.

Finally, it is irritating to have to ask the caller to repeat their sentences over and over again when you can't understand them.

The other question is whether this is HBC or not. I am reluctant to call any number or respond to any site to cancel their call because any contact may lead to more calls and who knows what data base you will end up on.

In the end, if HBC has good customer service, they would be checking up on this and taking action.

I got this message today, and wasn't home.  Interestingly enough, I got it after telling HBC that I wanted all phone calls to stop.  I was told thirty days wait time, too.  That's not acceptable.  If I get anymore, I will cancel my card, too.

This telephone number calls 2 - 3 times every day regarding a supposed special offer.  This is offensive and disruptive.

Maybe it's bad karma but as a part time job back in highschool I worked as a telemarketer. One call that threw me off was when I called a house and the guy that answered said he's only there to rob the house and doesn't want to buy the newspaper.

Had several calls from this #. I called it back to see who it was- third party on behalf of Hudson's Bay Co for a special offer. It gives you an option to put in your number and have it removed from their calling list.

this is not hudsons bay co. or anyone like that... it is a scam.. if it calls you... tell them they have the wrong phone number, or else they will keep calling you back over and over again...
