Just found a $72 charge on my credit card from this number. I have never used Redbox in my life, so this is a fraudulent charge. Since my credit card was recently replaced due to other fraud, I'm guessing a restaurant server skimmed or copied my CC info and made a one-time purchase.

Ridiculous!! I just filled a claim for fraud ...I was billed 30dollars out in Illinois from Redbox!! Supposedly I used it just this weekend when I haven't in weeks!  Never going again!!

I got 2 charges on my credit card one for 5.72 and another for 5.09 that I did not do! I only use my card for specific purchases and these charges put me over my limit, costing me over limit charges!

Go figure i rent three movies & turn them in the next day my debt card is pending 12.55  .been calling redbox customer service can't get in

I payed for the move then left it I just want to make shur no one took it I went back it was gone I don't know if it went back in or some one took it this happened Friday at 3:45 I just bin really busy wit work

It's quite the same as everyone else in here. Redbox is charging me for today and I haven't rented any movies for months now. Whoever it is, justice will prevail, karma will get you and soon you'll be in jail.

I just saw my first redbox charge that I didn't rent. I got a charge for $2.40 from Oakbrook Terrace, Illinois. I live in Salem OR. Not happy will not be renting from them anymore.

Hi my name is flip  I had the same thing happend to me and its not cool at all. I'm so mad what its going on with all of this charges on my bank account . It's not right to do this to people that make they money .you work for the money you make and when some person in IL  city is a person that need to be in court what he is doing to all this people .  Thank you for seeing my message out there and we need to stop this right know with this red box fraud and charges on banks .

Yesterday I got hit by $70 from redbox dvd rental. That is absolutely insane. Hate it, idk whats going there. I live extremely far west. Of couse, raised a dispute with my bank. Lets see what they investigate.

I got a charge in my Debit card for $ 77.94 from them and I've never use them.  I hate theves.
I'm with my bank submitting a dispute.  
Not matter the ammount if you were charged by something that you didn't use/get STOP THEM

The Red Box OakBrkTerrance IL and Red Box DVD 8667332693 transactions both were on my statements and caught my eye since I too do not live in Illinois. I checked and that is the correct location for Red Box Charges,  no matter where you live. I was able to verify all charges matching up my card transaction statements with my Red Box email confirmation receipts. It can be slightly confusing when viewing your bank/card transaction statements and there are several red box transactions within a few days. There will be several charges within a short window of a few days if you have rented, returned, rented, returned and if any of the movies are late. It looks confusing but they are all correct transactions. By having my red box confirmation email receipts I was able to sort it out myself with out calling red box or the bank. I highly recommend having the confirmation red box email sent and then saving it.

They leave a voicemail saying they need to discuss a "business matter"...never say what company they're calling from.

There is a fraudulent scheme out there that uses credit card skimmers on redboxes, atms, or card reading machines that steal your credit card or debit card information.

If there was an unauthorized transaction from REDBOX *DVD RENTAL 866-733-2693 IL, then there is a high chance that your card has been compromised. My Credit Card Company deactivated my card and will track down that transaction. Never use Debit Card for buying stuff like Redbox or Online Purchases because credit is not real cash. Be careful out there and act fast when you see unauthorized transactions from your bill.

same...but mine was worse...i had a total of 30.00 one in 27.00 and one in 3.98. im opening new accounts and now...

i just got the same thing for the exact same rental.  I will be calling them today and dispute the charges with my bank

im calling my local FBI office. im really angry at this point. i suggest that others do the same. i happen to live in IL, so i hope this guys get a really nice surprise from some cops.

Yeah, that's b***s***. I had this charge show up on my card too. I rented from redbox, got an email receipt when I turned the movies in, then had two different charges: one for the correct amount from the receipt, including "late fees" and one mystery charge for $3.85. So just shut up.

Redbox Headquarters is in Oakbrook IL!!! They are charging you, not each individual machine.

I've been charged for the last three months from this Oakbrk terrace IL redbox or whatever it is...whereas I can understand renting from a redbox in KY may result in a charge from a redbox company in IL considering that may be where the billing is completed...I DO NOT USE REDBOX..therefore someone is using my card number and billing me via some scam or theft.  I DO NOT EVEN USE REDBOX...so there IS some concern to be had when billed from this company.  Do not just brush this charge under the rug because you use redbox.  If you are being charged and have not rented or turned in your videos late, look into the issue.  I've had to cancel my card and file a statement with my bank due to this issue.  Be on the lookout because something is definitely not right.

Yep, this just happened to me this month. I wonder how many other people have been a victim? I'm going to alert the establishment to the fraudulent Red Box.
